Before settlement, which this firm was unable to obtain, I emailed Attorney Day to discuss concerns I had with the handling of my case. Months before settlement, and I have not heard a response yet. This violates the attorney’s code of ethics. His paralegal refused to even transfer me to his voicemail. After failing to reach a settlement, they passed my case off to another firm. That firm reached a settlement, but don’t you know when it came to disbursement, both firms took out their contingency fee even though the Michael Day Firm failed to collect for me. After their failure, Mr. Day said that the fee contingency would stay the same, and I would not be paying more than one. I would choose a more ethical law firm that will fight for your rights and justice. Not one that is focused on profiteering off your misery. The rebuttals to my review are indicative of the deflection I consistently experienced with this firm. The litigation attorney at this firm was unable to obtain a settlement. The firm they passed my case to was able to reach a settlement within 2 weeks once I had provided them with information the Michael Day Firm failed to provide to the new counsel. I highly recommend Attorney Day! October 2019, life was great. I had just bought a house all on my own and I was one month from paying off my suv. One day on my way to work I was suddenly rear ended by a box truck at a high speed and I was sandwiched into another van. I was in shock and didn’t go to the hospital but knew right away I was injured. As a single mom with not much free time I needed an attorney to handle every aspect of my case. Right away I was able to meet with attorney Day and he explained everything very clearly about what I should expect. He got me set up with several doctors that got to work getting me better as I had a concussion and several back injuries. When I first contacted Michael Day law firm, it was because A. He came highly recommended and B because the lawyer I initially hired had done nothing with my case. Michael stepped in and reassured me that he would handle everything from start to finish. From the very beginning Michael was a literal ray of sunshine. He would call me even when there was no updates on my case, just to check up on me(I had injuries and was generally depressed) I'll never forget one SUNDAY he called and sat on the phone with me while I boohooed for nearly an hour. Over the next few months, he as well as his staff became like family. He answered every single time I called with a question. Weekends, and vacations included. I think the longest I waited for a reply to a question was 15 minutes, via email. He's so incredibly thorough.
