SweatHouz Infrared Sauna Studio — Local services in Atlanta

I’ve been coming to this location for the last five months — at least eight times a month — because I love the concept of contrast therapy. Unfortunately, the experience at this specific location has never been smooth.

There are ongoing issues: the cleanliness is inconsistent, the shower handles have fallen off on multiple occasions, there’ was a time there was no shower gel in the dispenser(YUCK), the cold plunge hasn’t worked properly at times, TV might give an issue and the parking system is a headache (despite validation, I’ve still received two tickets new parking system wasn't working).

On top of that, after all this time, I still cannot book appointments through the SweatHouz app. Once, after driving almost an hour in traffic, I arrived only to be told the “new girl” never entered my appointment.

The most frustrating experience was this week — the air conditioning in the building hasn’t been working. When I went on 7/5, the sauna was unbearable because of the extreme heat in the space; it was hard to breathe, and even the staff were visibly uncomfortable and sweating.

The only reason I’ve kept returning is because of the receptionist, Francella. She is incredibly understanding, kind, and always goes above and beyond to help when things go wrong. She deserves recognition for her professionalism and care.

That said, this location desperately needs attention and improvement. I sincerely hope management takes steps to fix these recurring issues — the concept is amazing, but the execution here is falling short.

TIP- Guests should be given advance notice when there will be events on Peachtree so we can plan our route and /or visit accordingly. I was 12mins late for my appointment because it took me almost an additional 20 mins to get to the location as the streets...

I never leave reviews but wanted to alert others to the complete lack of customer service that I’ve felt by this studio. This studio shut down recently without proper notification to the clients. I was unable to book sessions and thought it was an error with the app. I tried calling and thought people were just busy and they would call me back. They are still listed as open online, there was nothing on a voicemail stating the closure, there was no text message with closure notice (they heavily utilized text messages a lot during the period they were open), and I received no email.

I found out through another studio that this location was closed, and when I tried to end my membership I was told that I would have to pay for another month in order to end my membership which is infuriating. While I’m well aware there are other studios in atlanta, this specific studio is the only studio that is convenient for my life in order to effectively use my membership. As a paying customer - if a place closes down I should not be forced to continue to pay for something I cannot use. The team was exponentially unhelpful and refused to acknowledge any errors in their lack of communication.

I would highly highly encourage everyone to look into other sauna services within the city of atlanta (beem, perspire, etc) and spare yourself future...

Over the past two years, Sweathouz has become an essential part of my daily routine. As someone who visits the Midtown location daily, (often right after the gym) I can confidently say that contrast therapy has made a measurable difference in my physical recovery, mental clarity, and overall stress management. The ability to move between the infrared sauna and cold plunge in a single room is especially valuable. It allows for a seamless, efficient flow that makes the most of my time while delivering real benefits.

The staff at both the Midtown and West Midtown locations have always embodied a level of hospitality that’s rare in today’s service industry. They communicate proactively, handle any issues with professionalism, and contribute to an atmosphere that feels genuinely welcoming. I especially want to shoutout Kristin as she embodies these characteristics. I’ve also been encouraged by how the company has matured, continually listening to customer feedback and improving the experience over time.
