Petco — Attraction in Bloomingdale

First and last time I take my dog here.

I’ve taken my dog Bentley to other Petco locations to get groomed before.. always had a great experience! We recently just moved so I decided to take my Bentley here for his first time to get groomed.

My fiancé was watching how the groomers were handling him and my poor baby seemed beyond terrified being there. Nonstop crying, shaking, would not let them cut his nails and that was very odd behavior for him being that he was perfectly fine with other groomers. They were not patient whatsoever, did not make him feel comfortable at all. Very rough with him and they had the audacity to tell us they think taking him to a private groomer would be better. I’m sure they are discriminating that he is a pitbull mix because never once were we told Bentley was a problem.

When we got him back, he smelled like wet dog. Was not washed properly at all, still had dirt on him and most groomers usually put a bandanna on their client’s dog and he had nothing put on him. They were very rude and ignorant here. Not knowledgeable at all and had the nerve to tell my fiancé, “you should feed him more.” Bentley has always been a skinny, muscular pit mix and eats a very high protein diet every single day. These groomers don’t know what the heck they’re talking about! They were quick to finish him and still expected a tip, yeah okay! Never taking my dog here again. I got him into Grooming Zoomies and the groomer there made him feel so loved and was so sweet to him. He didn’t give her an issue whatsoever!

I have been taking my dog to pet co for 5 years now !!! Nails teeth bath etc!! Today I went into Bloomingdale’s location and there was a customer. So I waited for 5 mins and the employee ( Chris or Christine) took the dog in the back and I walked in the door while the previous customer is still waiting !!!! Well the Groomer came out and so rude with such a Condescending tone telling me there is only one customer allowed in there at a time !!!!! Well there is no sign saying this on the door !!!! I waited for the other fog to be removed!!! I have a little min pin mix she just sat there did nothing until she heard that person voice and started shaking and her tail between her legs !! So I went out the door waited another 10 mins!!!! Than I opened the door I was going to ask how much longer and tell her I did not appreciate her tone! Well of course I heard That tone she did no wrong and did not give me a time ! Now I called first to see if it was ok I bring her in ! You need no appointment and again this wasn’t my first time !!!! I never have had to worry about the one customer thing before !!!! I spoke to a manager a lot good that did. I will never go to petco again ! They don’t care . I also found out this Chris has just started back!!! Well I think she should stay away I would not let her touch my dog !! Now 25 mins and this woman is still at the counter the manger goes in to get this groomer to print out paper work so I can self bath my DOG!!! And still couldn’t do that R U KIDDING ME !! This isn’t right . now go to pet...

Man was very rude.. the day I got my hamster (boo) I went over to get an employee and a older man came walking over. He said to me that "hamster do great in pairs!" (They do not) So I laughed and said "no they don't..?" And he gave me a rude dirty look (I didn't like that). Than he proceeded to open the cage and VERRY AGGRESSIVELY sift through the bedding hitting many hamsters with his hands including boo! When I saw boo I said "I want to adopt that one please" and the man decides that he's going to push hamsters over to get to boo so obviously they all get scared by his hand and run off and he than scares boo and picks him up verry aggressively and boo gets scared and bites him and than the man thinks in his head (Oh iT WiLl PrObABly Be A GrEAt idea If I ThRoW tHiS LittLE fragile HamSter!) and then it happens he threw boo on the ground and he fell on his back.. boo was fine but the man didn't say sorry or anything he just walked away.. boo is fine now but I'm still mad about it.. this man sucks and can't handle a hamster hope he gets fired because I've had other worse incounters with him before and my friends and family have too!!
