Let me be honest I have left the giving review industry a while ago, but I have been getting back on it because the reviews are very misleading half of the time. When I got there, there was a group waiting for me. It was a small Meetup that I believe happened before in that location. To my surprise when I walked in, it was really loud inside, often times on a summer night you expect noisy restaurants. What really bothered me was that me and my friend walked in and the only person who was welcoming was one girl who had a black hair. My friend and I, we sat , about 20 minutes later not one person came by to check on us. See if we needed anything. At that point, there were seven of us seated on a table of 10 or so. My friend waved to a waiter so she can get services, the waiter, dead, looking in our eyes, then looked down and said nothing. Went back into the kitchen as if we did not exist. I took it upon myself to go to one of the bartenders, the bartender was really nice and said they would send somebody to help us. After someone finally came to our table and took some orders, they took the first five orders and completely skipped over the rest of us. Since this was a meet up, we were all going to pay separately. When we were ready to pay, the lady who was serving us, told us that we can only split the bill into two. Mind you everybody had their own way of paying some from cash other from card and etc. The lady who was serving us also seemed very in a rush to stop helping us. Maybe I was the only one picking up on that. Anyway, one of our colleagues ordered the mashed potato and another one ordered the macaroni and cheese, they looked good and received good reviews from our colleagues. But the service was just really not it. We all tried to have one person pay and then send that person either Cash app or give them cash for their trouble. A few advice : 1. If you see a large group come in warn them that they can split the bill into two because some people don’t have that much money on their card. We are not living in Malibu, we are in Massachusetts. Warn. 2. Maybe checking on anybody within 10 minutes of them seating. We got water after I asked to have someone help us over 40 minutes into sitting. 3. Even if someone is not serving a specific table, you can hear what the people need until their actual waiter. Hey, go check on your people. Instead of being rude and walking away as we’re not trying to have a conversation or finding someone to help us. 4. Please put the volume down. We were screaming over ourselves. 5. I don’t know if this was a typo, the chicken fried chicken is very questionable as a title without actually including chicken in the ingredient list. I give these reviews not to be mean, but to share my honest experience. This kind of felt like I was at rock-bottom. Majority of my party ended up going to another restaurant nearby. As much as it did not have the selections that we wanted from there, we enjoyed the atmosphere, and more importantly, the service.

Coleslaw Conundrum: The coleslaw, served in a modest portion, left much to be desired. Its lackluster flavor and sole reliance on red cabbage resulted in a dish that was both bland and uninspired. For BBQ aficionados, coleslaw can be a pivotal side dish, and unfortunately, this version didn't rise to the occasion. A suggestion to the chef: consider revamping the recipe or perhaps removing it from the menu in favor of something more exciting. Pulled Pork Perfection: On a brighter note, the pulled pork sandwich was a culinary triumph! The pork was tender, flavorful, and perfectly complemented by a soft, fresh bun. It's a dish that truly showcases the restaurant's BBQ prowess. Fries to Die For: The fries were another highlight - crispy, hot, and perfectly seasoned. They're the ideal sidekick to any BBQ main course. Beverage Blip: The Arnold Palmer drink could use some tweaking. It's a classic that, when done right, can elevate the entire meal. Final Thoughts: Rock Bottom delivers a solid BBQ experience, particularly with their standout pulled pork and fries. While there are areas for improvement, particularly the coleslaw and beverage selection, the overall experience is satisfying. I'd definitely come back, especially if they take my tips on the coleslaw and Arnold Palmer to heart. Here's to good BBQ and better sides! Would I Return? Yes, for the BBQ, and in anticipation of an improved coleslaw and drink menu!

Diabolically priced drinks for the quality you get. I feel like I’m drinking diluted Robitussin mixed with Pepto Bismol. Not to mention how small the drinks are. I prefer a size that keeps me awake at night (unfair competition if you compare it to my man). The environment was half decent until school children (accompanied by chaperones) flooded into the establishment so heavily, I’m surprised a tsunami siren didn’t start to blare. While the chaperones bear the responsibility of controlling the children, it is still up to the MANAGEMENT of this establishment to keep the environment of the business under control. Anyone in business or anyone who owns a business, knows that the environment of an establishment is vital to its success. You strive for repeat customers. You want them coming back to spend their money as they enjoy the place. I can say for sure that none of my party will be coming back to this place. If there’s any advice I can give for those looking to come here, make sure you have extra funds in your account. Not only to prepare for 0 star worthy drinks and service, but also to prepare to stay in a psych ward for the night, so that you may recover from the chaos you endured, that which ensues within the walls of this mismanaged establishment.

If I could give this 0 stars I would have. I contacted the restaurant and I didn’t hear back from them. That was a week ago. That alone shows that they don’t care. My husband and I went there to celebrate our anniversary. Everything from start to finish was AWFUL. I have never written a negative Google review on anything. Our waitress never checked in our table to see how our food was, if we needed anything or if we wanted another drink. We don’t know where she was hiding out. My husband or the waiter who was waiting on the table behind us helped us more than she did. Our food arrived late because the kitchen couldn’t figure out what table ordered it. When we got it it was cold. When my husband ordered his burger she never asked how he wants it cooked. It came out grey. Both of our dinners were cold. I ordered the mac n cheese with bbq pork on it and it was supposed to have a cream sauce on it. The pasta was dry. No cream sauce. The top of the pulled pork had a drizzle of bbq sauce on it, after ate a few bites of the top the rest had no bbq sauce on it. It was shredded meat with no seasoning on it or bbq sauce. I had never tasted anything more disgusting than that. My husband had a hard time finding our waitress. He found her 4-5min later. She came to our table and I told her that it was cold and that there wasn’t bbq sauce on the pulled pork. She just stared at me. I didn’t know what to do. I asked for a cup of bbq sauce hoping that would flavor it. It took close to 4-5 min for a tiny cup to be brought out to me. You can’t pour bbq sauce on the meat without submerging all the meat in the bbq sauce. It was so disgusting. We had to be at a show so we were rushed because the whole meal with a nightmare. Waitress never thank you. She walked away. If we had time to talk to the manager I would have but like I said we were very pressed for time because everything took so long. The restaurant was practically empty. I got 1 drink when we got there and my husband did as well. We were there for well over an hour. She never asked us if we wanted another drink. The restaurant could have definitely made more money off of us but I was done. It takes a lot to ruffle our feathers. If the company respectfully replied back to me I wasn’t looking for any type of compensation. I want them to know that if she is not trained again properly then I promise they will loose a lot of business. Do not go there. There are a lot of fine restaurants in Boston to eat at....

My wife and I have eaten here twice now in the last month and a half before a show in the city. We have eaten here before in the past too. The last two times that we ate here, we were not impressed with the service and I was not impressed with my food. When we ate here a month and a half ago, they messed up my wife’s order, but didn’t send it back because the waiter was no where to be found. Tonight, she did like her mac & cheese, but my brother-in-law and his girlfriend both ordered a SIDE Caesar salad. The waiter asked if they both wanted to add chicken. She said no and he said yes. They brought her a side Caesar and him a full Caesar with chicken. We were not able to correct his order as again our waiter was no where to be found. When the bill came, she was charged for a full Caesar at $9.99 and he was also charged for a full Caesar with chicken though he order a side. I informed the waiter of this and he fixed the price of her salad, but informed us that my brother-in-law’s salad only came in full because it had chicken. I told him that he ordered a side and that he had asked him if he wanted to add chicken to it. I also informed him that he should have made him aware that the side did not come with chicken and he would be getting a full salad and be changed for a full salad, as it was double to price. For these last times we ate at this restaurant, we were there for shows in the area. We didn’t have time to wait for our waiter to check back in and correct our above issues, nor should we have to wait for a waiter to check in. The waiters never made it a point to check in once dropping the food off at the table. Our waters never were refilled and plates weren’t cleared from the table. I understand that this is a busy area, especially when there are shows going on, but that doesn’t excuse poor service. Needless to say, moving forward, my wife and I will no longer be dining at...
