Cheers Gift Shop — Local services in Boston

My friend & i were visiting from out of town. We decided to go to Cheers on our final day to have a bite to eat. I'm 55 years old & remember when Cheers first made it's debut on TV back in 1982. I was a big fan of the show & even though i knew this location was used for external shots i thought i can't pass up the opportunity as i don't make it to Boston often. In fact this was my first time visiting. After eating we went upstairs to the gift shop where there is a full mock up of the Cheers set. We were the only ones in the room & i thought it would be hilarious to have a picture of me behind the bar at the taps pretending to pour a beer as if serving a customer. Talk about harmless. The opening to the bar was not blocked off & no signage. I grabbed a glass as they had a pile there & went behind the bar toward the taps when this older lady who did not identify herself but appeared to work there in some capacity came in & read me the riot act & told me to stop immediately & come out from behind the bar. Having been in Public Transit for almost 3 decades & having used de escalation tactics many times over the years, her approach was exactly NOT what to do. I recommend training or re training for this lady in the way she interacts with the public. Also block access to the bar opening as the lack of such implied it was ok to go behind the bar. Have signage in place as well saying it is prohibited to go behind the bar. Finally i would like to say to this lady, relax why don't you? It's only a mock up of a...

I was a bit surprised to find two Cheers locations but after seeing the popularity at booth places I could see why there's a pair. Didn't eat there but the gift shop was fun.
