Check-in was confusing. The person at the desk didn’t explain much, only that a $150 holding fee would be put on the card and removed at the end of the stay if no damages happened. Told us nothing about a nightly amenity fee being added to our bill we found out about later (though we’d already paid a hotel / amenity fee through the booking service). We were three people in the room and there was only two of everything in the room (towels, water bottles, etc).

Rooms were dirty - hair all over the bathroom and in the bed. Had one towel with makeup stains and another towel with very prominent, large blood stains. Air conditioning kept malfunctioning. Bathroom fan did not work. Consistently saw repair people walking the halls.

Complained about the blood stains on the towel and were told the amenity fee would be taken off the bill, despite not being informed of this initially or at the point of booking (fine print said all fees were included). None of the front desk people could answer us when asking how much the amenity fee was that would be refunded to us. Gave us a comped breakfast, which was nice.

At check-out, more confused front desk people who seemed to make up things to get out of speaking to people. I asked for an itemised receipt given the confusing charges and refunds. The receipt correctly stated our names, number of people, room, etc. Stated we would get a refund of $599. I confirmed this with the front desk person that it represented the refunds for the amenity fee and holding fee.

No surprise given the bad service, the credit did not come back to the card. Had to repeatedly chase via email, call a couple of people to which they said, “oops we messed up you were only meant to get $104 back”. Truly shocking experience and I do not recommend this overpriced, shabby hotel with awful service.
