Came here with my husband as a tag along while he was at a conference. This swanky hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of downtown. The area has many great restaurants and theaters. The room had a balcony, which I loved. The wifi was pretty good, and i loved walking out the door and being within walking distance of a lot of restaurants, stores, and sights. The staff was on top of everything, and the hotel was super clean! The beds were comfy, and the rooms were large, but there were a few oddities at this hotel. They had complimentary mini-fridges, but you had to ask for one. That said, they had one to us in 5 minutes of us calling the front desk. Our room had only one tiny dresser for clothing. The toilet flushed so loudly I cringed every time we had to flush, and for an upscale hotel, it was a bit run down in some areas. While I did not go to the rooftop restaurant, I had a great view of it from our balcony, and it looked amazing! Loved the art in the room and hallways. Really a great touch. I had a great time in Boston, and I would definitely stay here again.

Before I address a few concerns I want to mention how KIND every employee is that works at Revere Boston. Always smiling and very friendly. We were here for the Boston Marathon and participated in the Marathon. Upon booking our room, the pics of this hotel looked gorgeous and like a great place to stay. Checked in on Saturday 10/9, walked into the room and immediately noticed how unclean everything was. Full transparency, the room looked like it was not even cleaned and during a pandemic this is very concerning. We brought our own cleaning wipes and decided to wipe everything down ourselves. Spent one night in this room and continued to notice more and more unclean items that were appalling. Sunday 10/10, I called the front desk and they switched our rooms. We pack all of our luggage up and move to the other room. Walk in and it had an awful musty smell. I inspect the room and sure enough, same issue with cleanliness. The AC unit was broken and dirty to where it wouldn’t cool below 77, the air filter was repulsive, the carpet was stained, splatter on the closet doors, stains on the drapes, what looks like blood on bed frame, etc. We did not call to switch rooms for the third time as this is an inconvenience for everyone involved. Clearly this is an issue within the hotel itself. To say we were/are disappointed and angry is an understatement. Paying nearly $400 per night for 4 nights for a room that severely lacked cleanliness and the other concerns already addressed is NOT acceptable. This undoubtedly is the most unclean hotel we have ever stayed in and as mentioned above during a pandemic we did not feel at all safe. I will attach a few pics below of both of our rooms.

Let me start off with the fact that the main lobby is overwhelmed with a perfume scent. Mind you, I’m pregnant so it smacked me in the face extra hard (it was God awful and smelt like that 24/7). But it wasn’t just me complaining, so it wasn’t just my extra sensitive pregnancy nose. The room was decent, but there was NO mini fridge! While this is petty, we are foodies that eat a lot during vacation, so leftovers were basically trashed since we had no place to store them. The bed was also a little wonky and became uncomfortable after a few days. The towels were very rough (texture), from the wash clothes to the bath towels, they need to be replaced. Service….you mean a phone that cannot reach its own hotel? The phone was useless. The location was great though! Very close walking distance to nearly anything you’d need! Breakfast was a hit everyday (highly recommend The Friendly Toast, Mike & Patty’s & Tatte). Nusr-Et for dinner if you’re feeling fancy and rich. Rebel’s Guild was good too.CVS is right across the street and the closest liquor store is a few blocks away. Overall, for the expensive cost, I expected more from this hotel.

First time staying at this independent hotel in Boston. Room rate was fairly high, but given the location amd Boston Celtics in the finals, it might explain the premium. The room was well decorated with a very chic feel to it. That said, there was a wifi/Internet issue at the hotel the day I checked in. Apparently the hotel knew about the issue but never told me about it, even when I asked about it, they still didn't tell me about it until much later in the day. I ended up spending so much time trying to get wifi connection to work that could have been avoided. No transparency from the staff at this hotel. I asked about their Rooftop bar and was told it's open. We went all the way there only to find out there was a private event and we were declined. Other guests were surprised too after going all the way there. Staff should have been more transparent about it not being available when we asked about going to the Rooftop bar. Overall it was a terrible first experience and impression at this hotel. Not sure if I would return again.
