I had a terrible experience. I have celiac disease which is autoimmune disease where antibodies attack your own tissues when exposed to gluten and makes you extremely ill. They offer gluten free options here so I was excited to actually get to eat out somewhere. I asked if they could use tin foil under my bread in the oven and they said no they didn't have any but they would clean it….wasn’t super comfortable but some of the other reviews on GF app said they didn’t get sick after eating here so I said ok. Then I see the guy making the sandwich drag it across the main sandwich board where all the gluten bread touches. After he drags it across the main station he pulls out tin foil and puts the bread on it and carries it to the oven (guess they do have tin foil)….when he walked by I asked if it was the GF one and he said yea, so I told him it touched the main bread area he basically rolled his eyes at me and went back to remake it. The whole time he and the coffee girl are clearly talking about it. He started making other sandwiches then went back to get mine and did not change his gloves after touching gluten bread and grabbing the toppings to put onto the sandwich. It was clearly cross contaminated and he was so rude about remaking it the first time I just took it and my husband tried it who does not have celiac-He said it was disgusting and flavorless with an old egg patty. We thought the coffee sucked too. It wasn’t hot and overly sweet with nasty sugary pump flavoring. I would...
Read moreMy co-worker ans I order two Italain sandwiches from here with UberEats. When I took a bite of one of them it had avocado all over the bottom, full layer like the cutting board had just been used to cut a bunch of them. (Both sandwiches had it) I am super allergic to avocados and if I had taken a bigger bite could had end up in the hospital. I called right away to give them a heads up as food allergies are a very dangerous thing if miss handled. People (specially kids) can end up in really bad shape. When I called back the employee that first answear said he could not transfer me to his manager and ensure me that he would get me another sandwich right away made the correct way without being contaminated by an ingredient not listed. 30min later he called and said he would actually not be able to deliver it. He then put the manager on the line who said he would not only not deliver but will also not refund me. (Assuming my allergy was not real as he laught a couple of times during the conversation) He then proceded to tell me hat If I wanted another sandwich I should just drive over and get it myselfe. Not only did I miss my lunch break, I had to drive over to get one sense he would also not give me a refund.
Never again Caviar and Bannanas, very poor costumer service and understanding of food allergies.
