Today on 9/7/23 I went into William-Sonoma in Downtown Charleston on King Street, to get a wedding gift for a close friend. I already knew what I desired, which was a Le Creuset dish, my friends enjoy cooking, and would throughly enjoy it. The older woman and older man working there this specific day, barely spoke to me upon entering the store. She couldn't even extended the basic acknowledgment, such as "Hello" or "Welcome to the Store". Simple manners weren't extended to me and my spouse. Once it was time for me to check out the older woman was extremely cold and not helpful with any questions I had. She did offer to box up the item, which was the least she could've done. To be honest, I would've preferred she didn't box it up, because it was pretty much thrown into the box. The box is currently falling apart, she didn't even try to fix the box before handing it to me. I am going to have to go home and reconstruct the box to make it presentable prior to gifting it to my friend. You would expect better service from the staff at Williams-Sonoma, such a high-end retail store. I have been to numerous Williams-Sonoma stores, and have never been treated with such disrespect and rudeness. I have frequent the Williams-Sonoma in Columbia, SC, and have ALWAYS gotten superb service. For the people at Williams-Sonoma today on 9/7/23, the older woman and man, need to realize that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover and treat every person that walks in that door with respect. I have never experienced such vile and racially bias behavior in a long time, but I hope this is a lesson for the older woman and man working at the store today. My money spends just like anyone else, whether you believe I can afford it or not is none of your concern, just be respectful. Have the day...
Read moreI am a professional chef and have been buying all of my knifes from Williams and Sonoma for the past 14 years on two separate occasions I have tried to buy a 16 piece global knife set from the Charleston location. Both times I was greeted by women at the front desk we proceeded all the way to check out where she told me that my 20% professional chef discount card that I have been using for over a decade would not apply. I’ve emailed Williams and Sonoma and have received no response I’m a I’m very frustrated after 14 years of buying my knives with the 20% discount that Williams and Sonoma gives professional chefs it is discouraging to find out that they no longer do that I will no longer be buying any thing from Williams and Sonoma I have already Found abetter alternative I wish you the best but you have lost a forever customer. For anyone reading this review I have found that the US foods chef store in downtown Charleston carries almost everything Williams and Sonoma does for a fraction of the price and it is open to the public. I apologize about the long review it was just very upsetting to realize that I would have to spend $650 at Williams and Sonoma without them even accepting my...
Read moreSo I called Williams Sonoma personally to place an order online, I was trying to get a lot of gifts for my mom and I made sure to call them in advance (April 28th) so that I could organize everything to be delivered on Mother’s Day. At first it seemed like it was doable as the person on the phone was confident they’d be able to arrange something like this, that’s why they told me to call and place an order instead of placing it online. I called the next day to cancel the wreath and they told me there was no way to cancel it even if I called them a day after I made an order, I was under the impression that since my requested delivery date was so far in advance they would be able to cancel something that wasn’t supposed to even be made yet... they told me I couldn’t cancel it. Like 3 of the items came before Mother’s Day and one of the bowls is still shipping. I wish their processing of orders was more organized and they could actually arrange things to be delivered on Mother’s Day since so many other business can manage to do this especially offering such expensive items. The gifts were still awesome, my mom loved all of them so far. Overall my...
