From the very first day at Cadbury, I felt warmth and love âșïžâ€ïž with its brightly lit hallways.
The holiday tree and Valentineâs Day decorations will always be a fond memory of the welcoming atmosphere during my initial tour with Danielle as she greeted the staff and residents with mutual recognition and returning smiles.
She amazingly made sure my mom was comfortably placed with a compatible roommate.
Itâs been 15 months now and everyone has always been transparent, patient, understanding, look after my mom well, and attend to her individual needs (on her good days AND on her not so good days).
I thank them for all the counseling and for the many long đ„Čâșïžconversations during this period of my momâs life.
It is a comfort for me to know that my mom is safe and cared for.
Akkera, Danielle and the entire staff on the short term side including the aides, housekeeping, receptionists, dietitian, social workers, techs, other nurses, and those âbehind the scenesâ staff that often go unnoticed are caring and knowledgeable. I wish I knew everyoneâs name so I could give them the recognition they deserve.
My mom just moved to the long term care side and I am happy to share that Dajuan continued Cadburyâs caring attention to detail.
As he was hurrying to handle a request, he overheard me mentioning that my mom needed help with the TV. Within minutes, he was back with a remote and showing her how to use it! I was astonished!
I look forward to getting to know the staff on the long term side as I visit at least weekly and ask lots of questions. We donât know each other personally yet, but we will âșïž.
Originally that would have been the end of my review, but on May 3rd, the UNTHINKABLE happened!!đłđ„
Without going into details, just know that a personal medical issue occurred with my mom. The attending staff noticed it (they could have EASILY not checked or not paid attention).
They made SURE we were informed and my mom got the help she needed.
I got THREE phone calls within minutes from different staff members to make sure I was aware and advised every step of the way. My daughter also got a call. How AMAZING is that! đđđ
Their immediate action saved her life and now she is out of the hospital and safely back in Cadburyâs nest as happy as can beđđ
Today I get to hold my mom and wish her a Happy Motherâs Day đ„°
Thank you Cadbury...
Read moreI can not believe the many many times I have tried to contact a Social worker, or nurse in this place, virtually impossible to speak to one or the other, the only person who you can speak with that is human is the front desk person & sometimes they try to assist & others could care. If you have a family member that is not mentally on their game & you want to contact them, forget it. I have tried today specifically to contact a loved one from 9:30 a.m until 6:30 p.m. to no avail. Pathetic! If you are going to have a facility as large as this one then you should have a staff that is applicable to suit the needs. Have been in your assisted living quarters & they are dirty, dark & very depressing. Your foyer does not by any means meet the living quarters for your patients, it is revolting. If people are posting on your reviews as a nice place, then they are lying!!!!! The rugs are dirty, lighting is so dim an elderly person can hardly see in there, windows are filthy, kitchen area is down right Pathetic, closet size to be shared by 2 people is ridiculous. Elevators & windows surrounding area getting to elevator is filthy. Can't keep your facility respectfully clean, unable to speak to people who are employees there is the icing on the cake! How you are allowed to remain open by the state is beyond my realm of imagination. Please inquirerees, do your due diligence for your loved one!!!! There has to be a cleaner & more family communitive facility out there besides this one. If again, your going to own & operate a facility this large, then you should be taking far more interest & conern for your emplyees & those who put their lived ones in your care,...
Read moreIf there was a way to rate this facility with negative stars...I would! I just picked my mom up from this facility. After a six week stay for Physical therapy from having knee replacement surgery. Upon arrival to the facility, day one, the room she was assigned to still had food drippings on the sheet, bed rail and the floor from the previous patient. Trash under the bed, someone else's belongs in the closet (including pudding and note pad). The bathroom, there's no way that bathroom floor had been touched in months with the amount of build up that was on it. Bed pads on the shower floor from the previous patient. The manager of housekeeping lied to the head nurse prior to our arrival saying the room was cleaned and checked by him. After contacting someone in administration, her room was changed. For six weeks, my mom had every meal come to her cold, with the excuse that her room was further down the hall. So serving cold food was acceptable (the facility is one fl btw). Her meds were given to her four hours after the scheduled time on several occasions (legally nurses have a two hour window). To wrap up her stay, yesterday she saw a mouse in her room. When she made the comment to her "neighbor" in the next room...the neighbor said she saw several mice over the course of her being there. I'm not sure how this place is still up and functioning. But, if you have an ounce of love and compassion for your family member..DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE!!! Shut it down and start over or...
