I've been to this water park many years ago and it has not changed which isn't a bad thing. It's great. It's big. I feel like they need more maintenance on everything. Pretty much everything leaks, and it's just kind of gross. When you think about it, it's more like dirty foot water or something, or like water coming from the water slides. And all that kind of stuff it wasn't bad to wait. It was like 5 minutes to get on to a slide. And this was on a Sunday. We got there probably around 11:12 o'clock PM and we left around 6 PM and we may be waited about 5 minutes. In line for each water slide wait times weren't bad at all and there were a lot of fun. It was just me and my boyfriend this time. And the last time my kids came with us when they were younger so. It was nice to experience it again. The outdoor heated pool was not open which was very disappointing. To be honest, I don't really know why it was closed. I didn't ask but it was closed. Nonetheless, the biggest thing that makes me angry is that everything cost so much money from the time you get there. I didn't realize we did not bring a towel. We didn't buy a package from a hotel or anything. We just went on a date pass. Is that you have to buy your own towels now? And they're $5 each and they're the thinnest towel. You can possibly have on top of all that they don't take cash at the front desk. So you have to have a physical debit or Visa. Mastercard, whatever physically on you. I had my phone. So I could use debit up at the front desk. But you have to purchase a locker if you do not want want to keep your stuff out in the pool area. The small lockers are $12 and they're like a cube. That's it. They're very tiny. And the larger what they call larger. Walkers didn't fit both of our things. So we had to then thereby 2 large lockers. Which are $14 a piece just to keep our stuff put away. Now you are able to get In-N-Out of them as often as you like. And I mean, obviously you get a bracelet for the water parks. You can come and go as you like as well. Up until they close and you also have the locker for that duration as well. Well, but let's face it when everything's said and done. You're not allowed to take food in for that matter. So you can't even eat on a budget. You have to spend money if you're going to spend some time there and purchased their food and stuff like that. They do serve alcoholic drinks. Which is a nice feature I think. Or you can choose to leave and go eat elsewhere if you want to leave the park and then come back aftor all in all, it was a good experience. We had a ton of fun. I would go back again but they they need to upgrade or change things up a little bit. I feel like they'd make more money if they charge less for. The silly things and upgrade the water park and they'd get their money back. Because more people would want to go just to eat or check it out and see what it's like when they've been thereefore. Or what have you? You know what I mean? Then they can justify maybe paying the prices that...
Read moreThis was a pleasant surprise as I did not know what to expect.
Upon arrival, we had the desk staff put on our braclets (just the right looseness). You need to remove your shoes before entering the park (from the front desk area). Odd that there are no seats to remove your shoes and prep before entering. (note: They offer lockers but we were not willing to pay the price) - I don't understand why they wouldn't have 8 to 10 sitting spaces so that folks can take their jacket / shoes / etc... off before entering the park.
Once entering, to your left, you have the kid-appropriate portion in which there are 3 different slides, a play structure to move around in and a large bucket of water that takes about 2 minutes to fill and then tips over to crash on all that are below (it is safe as the water crashes onto a platform and then is dispersed to the ground so there is no issue).
To the middle right, upon entering, there is the pool which is a wave pool. The wave pool will wave for approx 10 minutes and starts every 50 minutes (give or take). The waves are not aggressive and is age appropriate. Fun little addition to a relatively large pool. Many lifegaurds all over the enter complex. No worries about that.
The pool area has the more comfortable seating but there are standard chair around the back area so you should be able to find somewhere to sit.
To the far right is the more mature water slides. 2 that require a blue mat (ample amount of mats), 2 that require no mat and you go on your back. In addition, they have 3 more slides that require either a donut (for 1) or a figure-8 tube (for 2). Both of which there are plenty and no waiting. Depending on what time of year, day you go, the amount of people changes dramatically and lineups to use the slides can get pretty long. We were there on Wednesday and Thursday in the late afternoon and we had about 1/2 capacity so was pleasant and the longest wait time for the slides was about 10 minutes.
There is another portion just outdoors where there are 2 more pools with basketball nets for those sporty folk. This is outside so gives a different flare to the experience.
Lastly, at the back of the park (between the kid-appropriate area and the pool) are 3 hot-tubs. Not for the youngins but for those of us who want to relax a little knowing the Lifeguards are abundant and good at what they do (Shout out to the lifeguards)
There are changing rooms / bathrooms as well as a restaurant area (prices are high).
Getting a room at one of the hotels that has this Water Park as part of the package is a good deal if you want something exciting for your kids to do for a good 3-6...
Read moreOur first time visiting and what an unfortunate experience, and horrible way to start our visit. We entered via the skyline bridge, talked to the employee to inquire process and location for buying entry tickets/wristbands. Was told we could enter from that entrance, walk around the perimeter and go to guest services to buy wristbands. Got to the desk and was told off by the older man from the get go. He was adamant we weren't allowed to use the bridge for entry and could only enter from the main entrance (connecting the hotels and parking garage, by the bank of lockers). Even after I explained that I talked to staff, asked for direction and information and then followed said information he was still shutting me down. Then when being charged for 2 adult tickets, he said it would $67/person. I explained and asked about being with a partnering hotel, to which he said we HAVE to check in to get the $44/person rate. I explained check in wasn't until 3/4 (we were there earlier than that) and he was dismissive and kept interrupting me and telling me if I'm not checked in I can't get the rate and to go do that before buying tickets to get the lower rate. Online the price of tickets (via partnering hotel or not) was never higher than $50-54/person. When I explained and inquired about the discrepancy, the lack of consistency in information he just said it's all there on our site. To note, it's not or not very easy and clear to find. Through out the interaction, he was dismissive and rude. There were at least 5-7 other employees just standing idle and/or watching. Standing around doesnt leave a good impression on guests, even if theyre waiting for guests to approach the desk. Once we got through that, to get a locker none of the taps worked so you're forced to go to the desk again and purchase a locker ($12 or medium, $14 for large). Very inconvenient. If you want/need a towel, you'll need to purchase. We took our 11 month old, and the Toddler/Baby play area wasn't even open or operational. Couldn't take baby on any of the slides (tube ones) or the play area as it's not safe. We spent our visit in the tidal wave pool and walked around to dee the whole park. The only food allowed is the one purchased from their restaurant, which serves pizza, fries, wings, hotdogs, and which is a bit pricey. There is hair and random debris around, the floor bits are coming loose and there is sitting water in places. For the price paid, food should be a bit more affordable and things like towel/locker should be included. I would recommend finding coupons or discounted pricing for future and eating before/after so the wallet...
