Not sure why they chose pink for their archives inside... but it is quite unappealing and distracting. But the cathedral is gorgeous otherwise. They added add ons which makes no sense... already limited space and limited and they take up for pointless things... there is other churches in the diocese they could have done these at. They need to do something with the catholic religion... they sound like mindless zombies... even the singing drones on... and dear lord I dont know what nimwitt they hired for their audio but butting 12 big speakers in the rear of the church... causes so much distortion its hard to hear or understand what's going on. Also they blast the organ over it so I guess it drowns out how droll everyone is...
But they seem to have a lot of community building stuff so thats a positive. And unlike all of the other churches and religions that are out there they dont go on about tithing or offerings... you know they aren't there for God or Jesus if half of the time is spent trying to persuade people to give the church...
Read moreSt. Mary’s Cathedral in Colorado Springs is truly one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve visited. I left feeling peaceful and inspired—and I’ll definitely return the next time...

Access to a chapel should be 24-hours a day at the diocese flagship. At least after a traditional work day. You never know when a soul needs some guidance or healing. I understand the potential for criminal elements in the area but, that's why a simple chapel instead of full access to the cathedral would make sense. Mass is nice, sermons are wonderful and the congregation friendly. Currently my favorite in...
