ICONS — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

Not much about gayness here in Colorado Springs...but self...me...so I get around and as a downtown rat...I observed the opening of ICONS ..little twinkly little lights...curious...not really a drinker...and a Rocker is not going to find love there...the concept of a Piano Bar not of my cut...but cool...you folks handle it...whatever....loved the story of the guy's coming from New York.."showguys"...but still didn't get why ???? or the concept...just look at Hide and Seek...the community center here in the Springs history and well truthfully at 1st...I gave ICONS a nod, chuckle and passby...I got my own show...Colorado Springs has a fat ass gay kiss coming...and at ICONS... I now see they get one... I finally set my prejudge aside...I do crave just to be in the warmth of my own..so I investigated...

3 Bijou Street....the glow is...

Me and my friends spent Sunday night here and the kind staff, art work, and just overall vibe of this place is completely lovely! I was immediately greeted by one of the owners and he hooked me and my friends up with some cozy seating upstairs where we could watch him and the other owner play piano and sing show tunes. It was a total dream!

Our server Zach was a total peach, and he sings like an angel! We were all blown away by him! And Em was also so helpful through out the night and completely charming! There was also another server who helped us but I can’t think of her name, but she was so patient in explaining the food options to all of us which we totally appreciated. They seriously have a top notch crew working there. Definitely felt like family! This is a very judgement free, fun loving, great place to grab a drink if that’s what you’re looking for.

Also, the vegan hot dogs are to die for! Best vegan hot dogs I’ve ever had and the drinks are so tasty as well! The Ricky Martini is my favorite! I definitely plan on becoming a regular...

This bar was amazing! I was in town visiting with two college friends (one of them Lesbian) and we decided to hit this bar on our last night. I’m so glad we did! From the moment we arrived we had a good impression. No cover charge (unheard of!) and the server who helped us was so nice. He seated us downstairs because there was a show going on that required a reservation and told us we could go upstairs when it was done. We made small talk and we found out we had something in common with him (we went to rival colleges). He was so nice! We made our way upstairs and had the best time. All the bartenders who sing are incredible! They had people singing along and getting up and dancing. The vibe was friendly, laid-back and just fun! The drinks I ordered were very good too (a Cosmo and a Barry Manilo). I couldn’t recommend this place more. From the decor to the drinks to the talented and friendly staff, upon leaving we all agreed that if we lived in Colorado Springs we’d go...
