If I could give the Diamond Cellar and Daniel Gordon more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Daniel is the definition of going above and beyond, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a better experience with any jeweler—or frankly, with any sales professional in general. His reputation precedes him and has forgotten more about Jewelry than an average jeweler knows. He delivers a first class experience that is truly second to none.

When I first reached out to Daniel, I was expecting around a year to get the Rolex I wanted. Imagine my shock when, thanks to Daniel’s persistence and industry expertise, he had it in my hands in an almost unbelievably shorter timeframe than expected. He turned what I thought would be a long waiting game into a dream come true, and I still can’t believe how quickly and smoothly he made it happen. He even came in hours after having surgery on his day off so I could come pick it up.

But where Daniel really cemented himself as my lifelong jeweler was with my engagement ring. I had a very specific diamond in mind, and there wasn’t a single one in stock in the state of Ohio. Most people would have shrugged their shoulders and said sorry—but not Daniel. He literally tracked down the perfect stone across the country, had it flown in the next day, and ensured I could look at it before I left for a long vacation. Because of that, I didn’t have to delay my proposal and I got to give my fiancée the exact ring I envisioned, in the exact way and timing I had already planned.

I went in to discuss my options to upgrade my 20-year-old Scott Kay matching wedding set and met with Marcie Gold. Initially, I wanted to get a new setting and different style, as I was looking for something very different than my solitaire setting, but my husband was sentimental about the ring and the diamond and didn't want me to trade it in.

I met with Marcie again, along with jeweler Jeff McGlosson, to discuss his preference to keep my current setting and diamond. I wanted to see what we could do with the ring to make it feel "new". We discussed adding in a new "head" for the diamond that would include a cushion halo setting for my round diamond. Jeff and Marcie also suggested adding in a matching anniversary band to give the ring more substance. (After 20 years, the style is no longer made by Scott Kay and Jeff will be designing one to match to balance the ring).

I am excited to see my redesigned ring! They worked with me to help me maintain my wedding ring and the original diamond that my husband picked out, but add to it to make it something that I know I will love.
