I’m adding it as a 4 star just because I think is a little way priced. Not saying it doesn’t make justice for the food that it was served, not at all. The sizes for the main meals are fair, but honestly the appetizer was a disappointment as well as the size of the pho broth that comes with the fried rice.
So I think that if the prices were a little better, I would give a 5 star. I would also give a 5 star for the food if all the sizes were fair. I think the rolls were way to little for the price you pay and there could be some clarity on how many it will be served and whether or not they are big (as it may spoil your food) or small (I would recommend getting another appetizer).
I also felt a little pressured to leave, but maybe because it was starting to get into the busy hours even though I didn’t notice any enhancement in the movement or if I didn’t see way too many spaces open.
I would love if there was a kind of tea to go through with the food, but maybe I missed that in the menu.
The service was also fair, nothing way too good, just average service. Again, would appreciate some more communication so we would know what we would be ordering since it was our first time.
Will probably go back again, but after I made some choices of not eating out and then going for a bite that will take a fair use of money...
Read moreSo I'm writing this during my third visit here in a week. If that's not telling on how much I adore this place, continue reading about the experience. Let's first talk about the ambiance. I come here for early dinners and am now coming here for lunch on my way back to the east coast. So without the crowd, you can appreciate the decor and how open and spacious the restaurant is. At the entrance you have the booths, and a large bar separates this area from the open area with table seating. The decor on the walls are lovely and give you a sense of being at home. At the booths, you have wall outlets at eye level for your convenience so you can charge your electronics while enjoying an amazing vietnamese coffee. If you sit at a table against the wall, there are outlets at each of those tables as well, but those are located at your knees.
Food! This is a family run restaurant, and it is immediately apparent in the menu as the options are very few, which is something I look for in a restaurant because to me, this allows the kitchen to really focus on the quality of the dishes. You have a choice of three appetizers and just as many entrees (four if you say that rice and noodle options for the grilled meats are two...
Read moreFirst, I want to give a hat off to my waitress, Sienna. She noted my dietary restrictions and worked with me to ensure that the dishes I received were allergen-friendly, and she provided suggestions for meals I could eat.
While here, I ate the Chicken Pho and Veggie Egg Rolls.
The Chicken Pho was delicious. The portion size was great for the price, and the amount of vegetables in the bowl did not overload the bowl. The chicken was nicely cooked and not too chewy. The Pho bowls come with a side plate of basil, bean sprouts, line, and jalapeno. Great for if you want to add it in later or not at all.
Next, I had the Veggie Egg Rolls, and despite the name, the dish is milk, egg, peanut, nut, and Shellfish free at the base, so if you have any of those allergies, you don't need special accomodations. The rolls were cooked nicely golden brown with an excellent crunch. The dish also comes with a homemade hot sauce that complements it perfectly. The price is decent for what you're getting, but another roll could be included. Also, the dish could come with a little more homemade sauce. I started to run out after my 3rd piece.
It was my first time here, and I loved it. I...
