I didn't want to leave this review. I really didn't but I feel I need to talk about this to warn others. I went in to get alterations on a bridesmaid's dress, I knew going in that I was on a tight time frame but I needed the dress hemmed. Michael was immediately very short with me and acted like he didn't want to be there. He brought up several times that he was off work soon, I scheduled an appointment online prior to this so I don't understand why that was such an issue. I was even early to my appointment. Here's the major issue, I didn't have the exact shoes I planned on wearing with my dress. I brought shoes with a similar height but was pretty much berated that I didn't have the exact shoes. I was called a procrastinator and made to feel like I didn't care about my best friend's wedding. I asked if there was anything that could be done and he was very unwilling to help in anyway. I ended up leaving and crying in my car because I was made to feel awful when I was just getting back on my feet financially and having a place to live which is why I didn't have the dress altered sooner. My friend (the bride to be in question) ended up calling the store to talk about my experience and apparently management was very helpful but I refused to go back after my experience. Also as I was getting ready to leave another young woman came up to ask about getting some jeans hemmed and the tailor responded with "well do you have the shoes" which she was very confused about since jeans will always hit in the same spot regardless of the shoes. She explained that since they're jeans she'd wear them with different types of shoes. I didn't hear the rest but the general vibe was that he didn't want to be there or do his job. I understand that people have bad days, but it's not an excuse to treat people poorly especially when you work with the public. Anyway, I'm left with a dress that's going to be too long and an awful...
Read moreThis is for the cosmetic count only! Olivia at the makeup counter will FOLLOW, stand and blatantly watch you as if youâre trying to steal.
My sister and I went to the cosmetic counters to mostly browse with intentions to buy products, we were briefly greater by one of the employees named Bella, who was very nice and helpful might I add. sister and I were then continuously followed by an employee named Olivia. I worked at Ulta and Sephora, so I know the overly greeting is them trying to deter people from stealing But what Olivia did was absolutely overkill and was very painfully awkward/humiliating. She checked on us about four/five times. I told her that we were fine and didnât need help. Eventually she gave up asking us if we need help and went to straight up standing in an aisle, staring straight at my sister and I, watching what weâre doing watching, watching our every move. It made my sister extremely uncomfortable to the point I had to confront Olivia, which she replied â Iâm not looking at you. Iâm your directionâ Which was even more offensive because you might as well just say youâre watching us. I almost didnât spend any money because of how awful Olivia was towards my sister and I, but if I didnât, Iâm sure weâd prove her ignorant judgment to be true which she was judging us. I spent over $700 that day, and I most likely will never return because of the employee Olivia. I understand you must keep watch of customers and greet, but this woman straight up was scaring us away and Iâm sure weâre not The only ones. I saw other complaints that fit the description of her so someone higher up really needs to talk to her and let her know what sheâs doing is causing the company...
Read moreJust a quick shopping trip for my wife, then we ate a delicious lunch, together, in their upstairs restaurant. Without additional cost, they allowed us to split a huge French dip beef and cheddar sandwich, giving each of us plenty of au jus. We also split an order of thin, fairly crispy luke warm fries served with aioli sauce including kalamata olives incorporated into it. The cost seems high to me at $17.50, but the quality and service were amazing. We like water with our meal and our waiter offered us lemon or lime in them. They offer a variety of delicious sandwiches, entrees, starters and desserts. They accept all major credit cards. The store has free parking. Handicap parking, restrooms, entry doors, and restaurant seating. An elevator gets you up and down, for handicapped customers; otherwise, an escalator is in service. Be prepared for sticker shock, if your grandpa didn't leave you an oil well or two. We saw for sale a pair of Levi-looking blue jeans with holes above and below each knee for just $225. I had to leave; I was beginning to have cold sweats. Ah, they do have some really stylish apparel. But, "bargains" they do not. In all fairness, Nordstrom is located in one of the premier shopping meccas in the USA in Easton Town Center in Columbus, Ohio. They have been open 20 years, and Easton is...
