Why would anyone wish to do business at a bank that steals people's money? Case in point...my father died in July of 2017, and we held a joint account that became a single account upon his death ofc becoming mine by RTS...After notify the probate department of his passing, providing the DC, and notifying them of the account change, they still proceeded to withdraw his loan payments from my account for 5 months after my father's death. It took over a year for me to be contacted about the vehicle after giving them instruction to remove the vehicle from my property. Ironically it was not the bank who contacted me about the account, it was a debt collection law firm...I stated they could have the car when they returned the funds that they withdrew in a theft by conversion...I also stated they need to come up with a compensatory amount for the vehicle being maintained and stored in a secure location awaiting them to remove it...Instead they chose to hire SourceOne auto Adjuster's of Ohio to attempt to repossess the vehicle without returning the funds they stole...SourceOne, among other civil infractions in the attempt to repossess the vehicle threatened to have the sheriff show up to force the removal of the vehicle and as I told HNB's lawyers...take me to court...PLEASE TAKE ME TO COURT...didn't work...Quite frankly, I am surprised this bank is able to operate and make the claims they make when it is obvious that they hire the financial rejects of other banks...I have attempted to settle this issue on numerous occasions but they simply refuse to return the converted funds. The best response I received to date was from the executive services department that stated quite frankly....you do not have an account with us so we cannot discuss this issue with you...Quite simply...this bank sucks...the employees I have dealt with are about as bright as the dark side of the moon...So consider this when you decide to bank with them....your money is paying for the stupid decisions made by this entity....like the $21,000 they lost over this vehicle because someone was too stupid to do their job...So I wish to really thank the customers of HNB...your fees and financial interest have made it possible for me to get a beautiful car for 10% of the actual loan value...and you all believe this bank makes good financial decisions? You would be better off to go back to burying your money in coffee tins and look for pennies on the ground because this bank will only cost you money and let's face it...we all wish to keep as much of our hard earned cash as we can...So switch to Chase Bank and see how much of a difference there is between an actual financial institution and a corporation that calls themselves a bank...but really is no different than a petulant child with a piggy bank that says they can make your money work for you...SMH....pure dumb@sses ;) Go ahead...sue me for libel and tell me what statement I lied about....oh wait...I am guessing your legal team is about as bright as your...
Read moreThis is to warn anyone looking for a bank or an auto loan. You would be best served to NOT consider doing business with Huntington National Bank - located in Columbus Ohio. They may sound nice and professional when you speak to them, but that is where it all ends ... just talk and absolutely no common sense or follow through. Let me explain: My wife has a private auto loan through them that was set up by our Toyota dealer. The ONLY reason they were among the possible banks to deal with was because their rates were among the lowest. We had other choices, but went with alphabetical order - H was first on the list. This was a terrible mistake. I thought all banks today were up to date on their technology. I have now learned that this is absolutely NOT TRUE in the case of Huntington National Bank. You cannot set up automated payments for an auto loan online. You need to request a form, sign it and send it in. This may be the same process with other banks, so this is not the problem. I have called 4 times and spoken to 4 different people; this last time I spoke with a supervisor. The previous 3 times, the rep assured me that a form was sent via email, regular postal mail, and Fax. In each case, nothing ever showed up - for 4 months! This last time, I spoke with a supervisor. He wanted to help, but he could not send me a blank form because of a company policy against potential fraud. I applaud businesses protecting against fraud, but I was requesting a blank form with no account details. It was only a blank form with absolutely no customer info. In order for him to send me the form, I had to have my wife talk to them and approve them sending a BLANK form. Common sense tells all of us that it is not possible for anyone to commit fraud with a blank form; especially one that only allow someone to SEND the bank money. This is a form that does NOT TAKE money, but SENDS the bank money. What kind of moron would commit fraud in order to SEND money to a bank?! The supervisor was hard-lined NOT to send a blank form on my say-so. He would only send a form, fax, or email if my wife got on the phone and said "It's OK". Me (her husband) could not request a BLANK form and could not convince a supervisor to send a BLANK form either. So, 3 calls to set up automated PAYMENTS to Huntington National Bank failed to get any promised action. Those first 3 calls all had promises by Huntington Bank reps stating that the fax was sent, email was sent, and postal mail was sent. The 4th call to a supervisor was a failure for the bank to recognize simple logic. There wasn't even a whisper of customer service spoken by the supervisor; no empathy, no common courtesy, nothing! WARNING - Don't believe any people you speak to at Huntington National Bank of Columbus. They sound nice, but produce no value for customers. Bottom line - they have poor systems,...
Read moreI'm suing Huntington bank for Theft and Fraud. They do not stand behind their customers through instances of identity theft and fraud. Your money is not safe with Huntington.
