Gondwana & Divine Clothing Co. — Attraction in Concord

On a whim while walking downtown Concord on my vacation, I wandered into Gondwana & Divine on the off chance they might have a dress I could wear for an upcoming wedding I'm attending. Elizabeth could not have been more helpful. I'm in the apparel industry, so there is very little I don't observe in regards to quality and price. I have recently lost weight, and was unsure of my new sizing. Elizabeth brought me things I never would have even lifted off the racks - she sized me up and encouraged me to not look at sizing and to just try things on. I tried on at least a dozen dresses/outfits and left with 3 of them, along with an item on special order as they didn't have the color I wanted in stock. I was delighted by the staff and the selection of quality items available (remember, I've been in apparel production for many major labels for over 40 years and have a very decerning eye!). What a great little shop. I was desperately trying to find a dress for my daughters wedding, and having no luck. Turns out 6 weeks is not enough time if you want to order something from a bridal shop - for a mother of the bride dress. I stopped in to this shop on a whim, and the wonderful staff helped me find the perfect dress, in the exact color I was looking for. I wish I had gotten the women's name who helped me, she was so kind and went out of her way to help me find exactly what I want. I never would have even tried on the dress she pulled out, if she hadn't encouraged me, because it looked like it wouldn't fit. Two friends and I recently had a wonderful shopping experience at Gondwana & Divine. The service was outstanding and Sara and Liz offered suggestions and recommendations tailored to our individual tastes, styles, and the types of events we were shopping for. They both have excellent taste and a discerning eye. They expanded my horizons by suggesting clothes I wouldn’t have chosen and which looked better on me than the things I chose! The store has a fabulous selection and it was worth driving from out-of-state to shop there. I can’t recommend them...
