My daughter was there to spend some of her birthday money and this was the first place that she wanted to go. While shopping, they came across a clearance rack and the sign read "take an additional 50% off the lowest marked price!" My daughter found a pair of Nike sweatpants that she absolutely loved among several other items that she had picked out. When they reached the checkout desk and the lady began to scan the items, the Nike sweatpants did not ring up as marked. My mom asked the cashier was she going to correct it? And the cashier said no, that she couldn't go any lower. My mom then responded with "but that is not what the sign read." My mom also asked to speak to the manager. Once the manager came over and he looked at the pants, he then looked at my mom and stated that someone must have put that sticker on the pants. Not only was this extremely rude to suggest that, but it also embarrassed my mom and was heartbreaking for my daughter to have to hear. She received it for her birthday from my dad, he bought it recently from Academy. I had no receipt. My dad spoke to Academy Customer service and they said for an exchange, I wouldn't need a reciept. Ramon wouldn't exchange it at first because he said it was a Christmas color and another associate said the lid looked like a different color.He offered me 5 dollars for it, even though its a 35 dollar cup. I expressed my concern that I didn't want money, I wanted a exchange. I respected his decision, go to the stanley display. Low and behold, almost 20 identical same color cups to the one I wanted to exchange for sale for 35 dollars. I bring this to Ramons attention and the front customer service desk. They ended up exchanging for the color I wanted...but not before Ramon stated rudely "I'm doing you a favor" in which I replied that it was a even exchange for a cup my father recently bought here....not a favor.
