First, let me share the good part. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and spacious.
Normally, that is enough for me, but here is why they received a low review, and it is something that can be corrected.
Roaches I was shocked to find 2 small roaches in the bathroom the first night we arrived. I killed them only to walk out of the bathroom and see another roach on the wall near the ceiling that i couldn't reach to kill.
Twice in one night, I killed two roaches, both in the bathroom.
Then, the next morning, how about there was a roach crawling inside of the toilet. Ugh!!!
Every day, I was killing roaches in the bathroom. I thought it was just there, but the second night, I saw something crawling on the desk on the tray where the ice bucket was.
We made it a point to not have food in the room.
The Shower: In addition to having a large spacious room, the next thing that makes a nice stay is a nice sized bathroom.
That's the second thing that makes the room. So even after the roach incidents, little did i expect the shower handle to be BROKEN!
Amenities Now, here was the next thing: My husband decided he wanted to make some coffee. He opened the coffeemaker, and it had not been cleaned.
Lastly, we decided to leave a day early, and how about they tried not to give us a refund for the day we did not stay.
That morning, as we left out to take care of our business, my husband asked the manager if we could be refunded if we left early, and he said yes, only for the day of checkout they tried to not refund us for a day we did not stay.
Never should my husband have had to argue with people to get his money refunded.
So while I wanted to give the hotel 1 star because the beds were clean and comfortable for that reason I gave it two stars.
Now, as I said at the beginning, these are things that can be turned around.
A. Exterminate B. Make sure the cleaners are doing their jobs in cleaning. C. Periodically check to make sure everything is working and nothing is broken.
They can fix these issues. They can turn it around. Therefore, two stars is simply an opportunity to make changes and get better.
I hope they catch these things now.

He just radiates negative energy without even encountering him. Upon encountering him he rang through on the exact energy his “person” radiates. Very angry, hostile, unprofessional, in compassionate, rude and “RACIST” the man couldn’t even look me in the face the entire time I spoke to him and before considering and looking into my issue he just right off the back was against it, didn’t want to here it and truthfully didn’t give a dam. I have seen reviews after review after review stating the same facts and yet that demonic energy remains their raining terror on innocent guests. We were displaced during our move with move in being delayed and had to lodge for 2 nights, because we were told after the first night our place wouldn’t e ready until Tuesday because the holiday was Monday and it was Friday. My husband booked our second night and I booked the other two days due to check out Tuesday. Not even 30 mins after I book we get news we can move in on Saturday so I immediately cancel my reservation mins you it is more than 24hrs before actual checkin so room was only booked 30 mins Top. So I spoke to the front desk clerk on shift for the evening and she said all should be fine and Booking.com would call/contact them to confirm and it shouldn’t be a problem with refund. So the next day we check out and I try and reiterate the scenario to the Manager and he comes out the back automatically in negative mode looking at the counter the entire time never looking into the matter to determine facts and just blatantly says no I will not be refunding $100+ dollars cancellation fee, mind you that discloses it is charged because it takes up booking time for other possible customers Reminder; I cancelled less than 30mins after booking it so the room was back available 24hrs + before actual checkin. Corporate needs to do something as this is certainly bad business as the reviews a year ago don’t look like this so the common denominator is….. We’ll just let the reviews...
Read moreBeware. Long read. I have been a Choice member since 2015. Any Choice hotel I have visited has been good. From customer service to breakfast, location and other amenities. I don't live in Newnan GA but I work nearby. Once maybe twice a week I stay at the Sleep inn in Newnan GA on 5 Amalajack Blvd for rest of I need to since 2022. Never had an issue because I'm just there for rest. Recently there was a change in management and it is horrible. My ONLY issue this time happened around 2 weeks ago. I was omw home but decided to stop and rest. I got to the hotel and as I was checking in, I asked for a late checkout. 12 noon. Fine. The next morning, right before 11am, I get a call to my room asking was I checking out. I said no I have a late c/o. The person says, it's not listed. I say well that's a communication error on the hotel's part not mine ma'am. The person yelled at me and hung up the phone. I get downstairs at noon to checkout and ask for the manager. I waited 20mins. Before he came out. (Rude) I explained what happened, he said it wasn't front desk, probably a housekeeper, like it was normal, but with little empathy. I called corporate and was compensated with points for the inconvenience. I booked on 4/6/24 coming back to work get a call on 4/7 from FDsk because I booked for Sunday and they cancelled my stay and explained to me because I complained 2 weeks ago I cannot stay at this hotel anymore. Huh?! I worked at a full service hotel for 10yrs and had legitimate complaints like my own from guests, but Never did we ban a guest for having an inconvenience during their stay. I'm pretty sure the person(house keeper) laid it on thick to the manager later as if I was the rude one. This situation will also be handled. I don't care to stay again even if invited back. Need better leadership at limited service...
