First let me say that I love Red Lobster. We have eaten there since I was a little girl because my grandmother loved it, so now we love it and my children love it. My son is in another state now and I went to visit him in Georgia and he wanted to go to Red Lobster and get Crab Legs. We went to the Red Lobster in Newnan, on 0/14/2023 and what a disaster and disappointment!!! We waited over an hour for a table, which we understand with staffing issues, but when we sat down and our server came up she said she has had no tables and that the front didn't have a clue what was going on (honestly you could tell cause they were very disorganized) - not to mention the bar area had old plates just stacked on it sitting there - and people were getting frustrated and leaving. We ordered as soon as we sat down because we had time to look. My son ordered 2 pounds of crab legs, but the server suggested he start with 1 because they didn't look to great - So he did that. We ordered Stuffed Flounder - our host said that the she was supposed to make sure we knew it didn't come with lobster sauce on it anymore, we said we knew that because it wasn't lobster feast. She said she had no rolls, but would bring back some when they came up. Well - no rolls and our food came out, we had no silverware and our servers went up to the hostess to get some and they had none....she brought us plastic to-go silverware(not kidding, it was a joke), but she said if we wanted to eat this was all they had. My sons crab legs were mushy and did looked gross - he tried to eat them, but you couldn't even break the shell, it was mush. Our stuffed flounder didn't have ANY sauce on it, she said I told you before you ordered that it didn't come with the lobster sauce anymore, and we said we knew that but it is supposed to come with a cream sauce - she said the kitchen told her no it didn't anymore - we ate some of it but it was to dry to eat. We finally got rolls after we had finished eating. I told our server (Melissa R - who by the way was very nice and doing her best to help us, but she had no help from her staff) that our food was discusting and we couldn't eat the crab legs because we couldn't even open them up. She said she wished she could do something but there was no one for her to tell and no one cared, The best she could do was bring me more rolls and a house salad if we wanted one! LIKE WHAT!!! You have a serious problem at this restaurant. We paid for food that was discusting .My son orders 2-3 pounds of crab legs everytime we come to a red lobster and loves them and we have never experienced this level of nasty food, awful staffing and lack of caring anyplace. I have tried twice to contact Red Lobster and gotten no response, I guess this is the new normal for the world we live in. We drove from LaGrange to eat here and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve dined only at this Red Lobster location in recent years. The first sign of a problematic night began with the bartender Connie, being rude to her coworker in our presence. Connie was our sever as well. 2 of the 3 ordered, as we have in past visits the endless shrimp. We also ordered a lobster dip there and one to go. Needless to say, I ordered my 2 shrimp selections and about 10 minutes later the bartender asked what shrimp we wanted next. I order 2 different kind as I felt one previous selection was lacking in taste.
Because of a digestive condition, I easily get sick when eating and ALWAYS have a to go box with the majority of my meal being taken home. As such, I still had half of my original order in my plate along with the two other shrimp orders. I asked for a to go box and Connie, from the register hollered you canāt get one. I stated that Iāve always been given one and my original food is on my plate. She said no maāam. I asked to speak with the manager.
The manager came out and I told her the last time I was there I sat in the bartender area and was given my take outā¦.for years!!! The manager then compared endless shrimp to the Golden Corral. I told her this is not Golden Corral and asked if that policy was in writing so as the guest would know. I also asked if the policy had changed. She said no.
Needless to say, I also overheard Connie the bartender tell her two customers at the bar that sheāll argue with a customer. She was nice nasty, I was too with the $0 tip left on my tab and my daughter left the same!
Years ago a waiter asked me if I wanted to go boxed, and told me I could take what was not eaten. Itās was always the same until tonight. I did not gouge out. I ordered my first two selections and was asked about the second two. Thatās not being greedy. Although the manager stated I should have been told in advance about the policy and she allowed me my to go, I did not appreciate the reference to Golden Coral, a place I frequent more than Red Lobster, so itās not about the to go! Itās the principle!!!
I plan on forwarding my complaint to Corporate. Donāt call me a liar and treat me like one when you tell me that your servers are doing this in error! Connie would have received a tip if she didnāt say no maāam to me when I told her thatās I was always given a to go box. My last visit there the bartender got a $30 tip! No, never tip a person who doesnāt respect you and calls you a liar. I was not rude to anyone, but my money my choice!!! How you going to tell me I canāt have my original meal to take with me! ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYOU WOULD HAVE TO PAY ME TO GO BACK THERE. Worst experience ever. There was a spider crawling in my seat, food was never cleared, refills were basically non existent. I had planned on spending a lot more money on drinks but since it took 30 minutes for each bottled beer to come out, I changed my mind. Ended up going to the bar and saw my drink sitting there waiting to be brought to my table so I left my bottle there and grabbed a new one. Three hours later the bottle was still there. One of our rum and cokes was completely watered down. We asked for a new one, so the bartender came up to bring a new one. She also made fun of the guy who said it was watery and told him to "man up". We thought she was joking at first but she was completely serious. We arrived at 7, waited an hour and didn't get out until 11. We ended up putting out plates on another table where they then sat for the entire night. The bar and tables were not bused hours after guests has left. There were cobwebs in the bathroom, the trash was overflowing in each stall and by the sink, the mirror was broken. At one point the waitress was so stressed out she leaned over and told me she hadn't even put the table next to us's order in. There were more problems but those were big ones. Then we got our checks and nothing was comped. So I ended up talking to a manager, letting her know what had happened and she told her boss. I then overheard him blaming the waitress for all of it, when the waitress wasn't really the problem. They took about 30 minutes to comp our check by 5 dollars. When your tab was 100, that's ridiculous. We will not be going back to lobster house ever again. And there were 11 of us. So you can bet we'll be telling our friends and family what happened tonight. Not once did they ever apologize for anything. One of us have had a birthday but decided it would take too long to tell them that. We were sick of the restaurant at that point. Never before have I ever been treated so badly by a restaurant. The worst part is that we paid hundreds of dollars all together just to be stressed out and ignored. This location should be shut down unless someone plans on coming in and making major changes. Save yourself some stress and go...
