First thing first I’d like to know who interviewed Brooks and made him General Manager!? I’d love to go through that same process and get a job. There is absolutely no way possible that whoever interviewed him was looking for quality, skill or anything of that nature. Brooks has absolutely NOO customer service/ communicating skills or professionalism. There’s absolutely no way the owner or whoever he reports to care anything about service! Or this hotel!
Anywho, It took a minute for me to leave this review because I wanted to be as detailed as possible(due to not being able to upload videos) And to make things very clear for other customers. The fact that half of what I have to say has been written in past reviews, yet the problem remains, let me know there is no one who cares. Emphasis on Do NOT care! And Brooks will proudly let you know his bestfriend is the owner so he doesn’t care about these reviews or any complaints. He’s a complete narcissist! With that being said, this is really and truly a nice hotel with a great amount of potential to compete with any surrounding hotels. However, this hotel fall extreme short on a scale, in its cleaning and service. I stayed at this hotel a little over a month , being in between moving. I’ve also managed a Hyatt place for 6plus years, so I’m pretty familiar with how things operate! Steve, the most professional & polite host, was the only consistent staff member, despite me having an attitude due to the lack of service as well as the doors not working. Isaiah and Yolanda were also courteous whenever I interacted w/ them. But between Brooks, Dottie, and Malika I don’t even know where to begin other than asking WHO INTERVIEWED THEM & can you give me a job !!! Cause there’s just NO WAY these “managers” were required to have ANY skills or capability to do the job they’re asked to do. Instead of Malika calling my room to say the card was declining(due to it being locked) she tells me they’re sold out of my room type and before she could check me in to a separate reservation for Sleep Inn, I needed to pay for the previous night. I then said “oh I’m sorry the card didn’t go through, u could’ve called!” She said “oh yeah …it didn’t… hahaha okay “ I proceeded to ask “are y’all really sold out of rooms for mainstay?! Her reply “yes we are”. Later that night I noticed I forgot some items in the Mainstay room (that Malika said was sold out) went to the desk to ask a member to check. We both walked to the room Malika said was sold out and the freaking room wasn’t even cleaned!!!! It was left how I had it at checked out. Basically the front desk MANAGER lied about being sold out bc she has a lack of communication skills about a declining card! The truth is they are horribly understaff! Dottie is the ONLY housekeeper also manager, who probably ask to only sale certain amount of rooms bc she’s the only person to clean them. If Dottie wants a day off she privately hires a friend or family member to come in and fill for her. Not a person they hired as staff but who they hire on the “side” for work. Dottie also do not change bed sheets, the showers are not properly cleaned. Every room I stayed in had hair in the bed and tub. Robert, the maintenance person was pretty cool but most alcoholics are. He smell and breath liquor. But like I said he’s funny and cool! Overall, if you choose to stay here, you are all on your own! Yes you will have a great looking room, May have to do some cleaning prior to sleeping and cooking, but it’s a really nice room. Don’t expect to get a room on the 4th floor. They don’t have enough staff for the full hotel so you have to get whatever room Dottie cleaned for that day. Last but not least, be safe y’all! Be wise and safe when...
Read moreCTCA patients beware- if you're here for a prolonged stay, the welcome wears off quickly. The staff other than the manager is the only reason I bumped this from 1 star to 2. I had to live here for 2 months following the tornado that hit Newnan in Mar 2021. The rooms were VERY loud, and my room smelled like cigarettes and pot constantly. I complained to the front desk twice, and both of the ladies there discretely checked on where the smell was coming from and it stopped- for that night. The third time, I complained to the manager. He claimed he went up and couldn't smell anything. The entire time I was there, he barely seemed to do anything except stand outside and smoke. I even called the Choice Hotels customer service line for help with this. They said they would pass my concerns on to the manager. I told them I didn't see what good it would do since he had already claimed he couldn't smell anything. One night, my two young children and I were woken up by screaming and things slamming in the next room. We heard a child run into the hallway, screaming for help. He came into our room and described what was happening and he was terrified. The police were called for a domestic violence incident and we were up for probably two hours in the middle of the night from that and my own children and I were afraid to sleep after that. I could also smell in the middle of all of that exactly where the pot smell had been coming from. The next morning, I realized that the management hadn't asked those guests to leave, and they knew who I was. I was worried they would retaliate for me calling the police. I asked to change rooms again, and this time we were put on the fourth (top) floor. That seems to be the only quiet spot in the entire hotel! The housekeeping staff and front desk staff were extremely pleasant and friendly, and were always very kind and understanding of our situation. The rooms we were in were clean and very spacious, but based on noise/smells/sketchiness, I would never ever want to...
Read moreI stay here for about 2 weeks as care taker for my mom who stayed for 5 weeks. This hotel is mostly for patients attending CTCA and is partial home for some. Being that, I think that the hotel should be more accommodating to the patients and visitors staying for weeks at a time. There is a stove, dish washer, microwave and fridge inside each room and a nice lobby. There is no rest area outside. There is the main entrance and two side entrances. oftentimes when I would go out of the side entrance I would run into a housekeeper on a smoke break. If ever we were to go outside we had to stand, sit on steps to the side entrances or sit on side walk. Some patients would go next door to the convenience store to sit. Breakfast was ok but not a lot of hot foods to choose from, most days were microwave eggs and bacon or turkey sausage. The only fruit options were orange and bananas. We had small issues with staff eavesdropping when our door was propped open. When confronted the manager denied but 2 of my family members along with myself all witnessed at all different times. Housekeeping cleaning could have been better. They came to clean and when moppi g they had hair on the floor left from mop from another cleaning. There was also hair in our new sheets, towels and rags (super ew!!) but overall staff was pretty nice. The hotel is fairly new and the material in the room; table, headboard, shower etc are all made from cheap material and I don't think it will last long. Beds are super soft, pillows soft but thin (my mom and I both needed about 6 pillows each), the chairs to the dinner table are super uncomfortable and so is the sofa. The tv and lamps are placed in awkward positions in the room, and the internet would not connect. This hotel is better for day in day out guest rather than live in guests. I do not recommend for CTCA patients. Overall stay was ok. I enjoyed the people that I met from all over the US. Beautiful people...
