Worst free skate experience I have had as a decent skater. Firstly, a large group of boys aged 6-11 or so were purposefully skating the wrong direction, and racing through the middle of the rink. They also threw pucks onto the ice. I asked them where their parents were and they turned and skated away - 2 minutes later one of them purposefully attempted to make me fall by hockey stopping as close to me as possible. This same kid bowled over two of my friends and taunted another. Secondly, in the last 10 seconds of free skate I fell and messed up my wrist. A medic arrived promptly but I quickly wished he hadn't. He threw a half hearted gauze over my shoulder, told me to go to the er, and a woman arrived with a paper form and asked me my name, number, birthday, etc etc while I'm sitting there crying with a broken wrist. I had to sign two forms to prove that they attended to the situation. Yes, they did, they made it worse and made me cry. I felt like I was surrounded by animatronics. On top of that, the skate staff was very unhelpful with basic questions- when I asked how to use the lockers she pointed to a wall and said "the instructions are over there." In addition, they played extremely loud music and kept the lights dimmed like a shady bar. Overall, I was very...
Read moreI brought my wife, Carol there to see a speech therapist (Marissa Vetica) on September 18. When we were taken back to the room, we were informed the therapist had an intern with her and she would be in the room. Little did we know we would be essentially turned over to the intern while the therapist took notes. The intern began to administer a test to Carol designed to indicate the onset of dementia (or lack thereof). Carol has had this test done by our GP and a Neurologist and the speech therapist had those notes. There was no reason to do it again. It was as if the intern was being trained to administer this test and needed the practice. The test was poorly administered as the intern seemed to have trouble keeping all the papers she had under control, and the questions/directions she posed were poorly stated, adding to Carol's confusion. Once the test was done, the therapist indicated the time had expired and we were encouraged to make another appointment. There was NO "therapy" performed at this visit. It was a waste of our time, and caused considerable anxiety in Carol. I will not put my wife through that again, and so we will not be returning for further "therapy." I have reported our displeasure to our GP but have not heard back from her on...
Read moreMy husband's appointment was due to a fall. The biggest problem was that all the computer paperwork was for sports injuries only. If you need a specialist for an injury other than sports related, the first questions should direct you to appropriate questions. Neither of us were happy with the computer questions. The doctor was totally off the mark when he entered the room because of the computer questionnaire. With a computer, you can't relay the problem when the questions don't apply. Perhaps the person to person method should be revisited. Regardless, the doctor was very nice and thorough with his exam and consultation. The staff was very nice. The facility is nice and very...
