This was the weirdest dining experience we have had by far. I called ahead of time to see if reservations were required or we could walk in as we had a few other dinner options we were considering in town. The hostess said she could make room for us with a patio table at 5:45pm- totally fine since the weather was nice .We showed up and the hostess was frantically running around and never greeted us just asked if we had reservations. She took us to their porch entrance (not the patio at all) to a table sitting in a corner by the entry door that everyone walks through to get to the hostess stand with no one else outside, tossed the menus down and walked away. At this point my husband thought she was joking with us. The table was literally placed as if we were the restaurant greeters pushed into a corner. The actual patio we thought we were sitting on was much better and had tables in an open space out front but it was never offered to us. At this point we wanted to leave but decided to wait it out hoping the food was good. There was a lot of younger kids working (like 14 years old)- they were all polite and nice but with the hostess yelling at them and being condescending the entire meal it was extremely awkward. It took awhile for the waitress to get to us and when she did she quickly spewed off specials sounding very nervous and quickly walked away not saying anything like she’d be back to take our order. Every person that walked by to enter the restaurant laughed or made a weird face at us also in disbelief with where we were sitting and having dinner. We held out hope thinking the food would be good and while it did taste good while we were there, I got food poisoning that evening from the shrimp scampi. The table we sat at shouldn’t even be an option for guests… when you’re booked just say you’re booked. There are much better and friendlier options in town and we will not be returning back.

A friend suggested this fresh Italian place and we were really pleased with the experience! Our server Abby was super friendly and helpful suggesting different dishes. We ordered the roasted beet and goat cheese salad which was fresh and delicious. They serve hot fresh bread with this yummy garlic butter which I could've made a meal out of, so good! For our entrees my husband ordered the gnocchi with some kind of spinach pesto cream sauce which I wanted to drink the sauce, yum. I got the Florentine chicken with linguine noodles. It was a very hearty and large portion dish with lots of freshly cooked mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach over lightly pan fried chicken. The sauce was light and went well with the freshness of the dish. Overall a nice dinner experience and will definitely recommend to friends who visit Crested Butte.

Tuesday night, crowded and no reservation. No problem!! They found us a table. Excellent server, Anne. We started with the mussels, which were absolutely hands-down the best quality and tasting we've ever eaten (and we've lived on both coasts and eaten mussels all our lives). The sauce they were served in was outstanding! We also received a basket of warm bread and herbed butter, yum! Dinner was also delicious, huge portion of lasagna and tasty white clam sauce over linguini. Dessert was a masterpiece! We shared the spumoni and cannoli, huge portion dressed beautifully with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and caramel. We especially appreciate having our own decanter of lemonade and water to refill our glasses. Service by Anne was friendly and knowledgeable. A terrific way to celebrate my birthday!!

We were some of the first people in when the restaurant opened. In total we waited 2 hours for food. About an hour or more into the wait we asked the waitress if two of the meals could be prepped to-go rather than plated because the infant was getting fussy. She took this to mean we wanted it to go right then and before we could correct her she went to tell the kitchen. She came back and told us “hope you’re happy. The cooks yelled at me”. The two to-go orders came out soon after which was very nice. The rest of the group waited another hour and watched table after table that arrived after us get their food, finish, get their checks, and leave before we even got our food. While waiting I went to the bathroom and saw my plate just sitting out getting cold while the rest of the dishes were being made. When the food finally came it was just okay, nothing phenomenal, especially for price. The waitress then didn’t check in again at all. However the bus staff is fantastic and works so hard. We had to wait a long time for the check too. When we got the checks the waitress said “I think you got some items on the house because it got left off”… the check had DOUBLE the price it should have been because wrong items were added. Waited again for it to be corrected. Was not a...

I had the pleasure of dining at Marchitelli’s Noodle Place during my recent visit to Crested Butte, and I must say, it was an experience to remember. Tucked away in the charming mountain town, this restaurant is a haven for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere set the tone for a delightful evening. The warm, rustic decor, complete with cozy lighting and Italian-themed art, felt like a hug inviting me to sit and savor the experience.

The menu is an ode to Italian culinary tradition, offering a wide range of pasta dishes, from classics like Spaghetti Carbonara to creative plates that intrigue the palate. After much deliberation, I settled on their house specialty, seafood pasta, and it was sublime. The pasta was cooked to al dente perfection, and the creamy sauce was rich without being overwhelming—truly the stuff of dreams.

Service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about offering a memorable experience.

Marchitelli’s Noodle Place is not just a restaurant; it’s a culinary journey that celebrates the rich flavors and cozy atmosphere that Italian dining is famous for. If you find yourself in Crested Butte, missing out on this local treasure would be a culinary injustice. Highly...
