Vaquera House — Hotel in Crested Butte

First let me say, amazing! My husband and I wanted to get away to the mountains not to camp but to enjoy all that a small mountain town has to offer. We didn’t want to stay at a mega resort where we would get lost in the crowds. We’re not big fans of Airbnb; we like a little pampering when on vacation. Then I found Vaquera House.| |We were so excited to find this new gem in CB, and we loved our stay at the Vaquera House! They lived up to their slogan ‘our house is your house’. Here are a few of our favorites: steam shower, thoughtful furnishings and seating arrangements throughout, fire pit, fun and funky artwork, made to order breakfast, drinks and apps after a fun day in CB, star gazing from the rooftop jacuzzi, bikes, pool table for some friendly competition, smores kits with homemade marshmallows, amazingly comfy bed, and did I say steam shower?! | |The VH staff made the experience even better. They created a warm, welcoming environment and made us feel like family. Erinn was always available to answer questions, including offering great restaurant suggestions. Hope is an incredibly creative chef, and customized breakfast for our food allergies. Don’t pass up the yummy yogurt with homemade granola!| |Crested Butte is a great place to visit, and Vaquera House will be our home away from home on all future stays. We were so excited to find this new gem in CB, and we loved our stay at the Vaquera House! They lived up to their slogan ‘our house is your house’. Vaquera (cowgirl) is a delightful stay. |From Erin's initial warm welcome until several days later when Cappy wished us safe travels, the entire team worked together ensuring all needs were met. I'm no doubt missing some names, but Evian, Lohfsta, Jordan were terrific as were the folks in the kitchen. Delicious made to order daily breakfasts, breakfast sandwiches to go the morning we went for a long bike ride, fun daily happy hours with drinks and snacks. Really enjoyed the warmth and inviting decor of the boutique hotel. Well appointed finishing touches throughout the property and certainly everything you'd want in your guest room, from heated floors, towel racks, spacious shower, quality fixtures, super comfortable bedding, sheets, towels, toiletries, etc. The designer did a wonderful job. After enjoying some outdoor activities, jump in the outdoor hot tub and if its a moonless night, you'll see an amazing star show. The location is convenient to shopping, restaurants, bars and bike or equipment rentals. You may also make use of their complimentary bikes and enjoy the the nearby trails and scenery.
