Recently purchased a stove and vacuum here. The delivery was correct and the vacuum has so far been good. The stove OK. Not exactly how i thought the item would work but its a 20 inch stove for an apt so i wasn't expecting the world. The problems are with staff and lying and uncomfortable for women. First I was told that when I financed it was interest free for 6 months. Now they synchrony the company they use to finance through said that it was marked as a standard purchase and is not interest free and they are charging me interest. I was going to purchase through best buy where I've never had a problem but brandsmart had an item I like and was told they were good so I went for it. After I went through the majority of the buying process and had a delivery date I was asked if I was married, why wasn't I married. And was told another salesman was also single. I laughed it off and kept trying to blow off these comments as women constantly have to but was pretty shocked and the questions kept comming. Which is also always concerning not knowing who will be delivering this item and the salesman has access to my personal information and address. To follow as I said before my delivery was fine and then men who delivered the item were not creepy and much more professional than the men in the store. And were great. I never want blame to be assigned to good people doing their job well and making women feel comfortable I their home. After I went through most of the buying process and had to complete my checkout at the register with another person at brandsmart who was I'm guessing about 25 years younger than me I was asked again repeatedly if I was married and why I was single. So uncomfortable and unprofessional. Not a manger in site. Not that this should make any difference but I'm not a model by any means and I on purpose came to the store unshowered and in dirty gardening clothes so I could just make my purchase and move on. Imagine if I had been on my way to dinner and dressed nice. I also parked far from the entrance on purpose as I always do so no one sees me leave in my car and watched to see if anyone was looking as I left. So crazy that's something that has to be done leaving a brandsmart of all places. Never had that problem leaving bestbuy for sure. So harassment in the store and lied to by these same people so that I am now being charged interest on my purchase. I could have just paid cash for the items but I hadn't bought anything on credit in so long I was trying to give my credit a boost, my cars paid off and I needed credit to keep my credit score relevant. I've paid more than half my amount off in 2 months and tried to fix this with synchrony and they basically said oh well not my problem. Go to best buy or Walmart and dont bother with this company of scammers who lie about your purchase and make women feel...
Read morePrior to today I have shopped at this specific location several times, but after today never again. I went in looking for a laptop. Specifically, a Lenovo laptop which their website stated they had in stock. When I got there, the sales associates were standing around like vultures about to pounce. The specific vulture who approached me was Moshe. He tried to explain the differences of chrome books and laptops to which I replied, “I know what I’m looking for and the specs”. I saw the floor display of the specific laptop which they had listed at $399 and then a second price with the security software. Again, I knew what I wanted and didn’t want any extras. I was fully prepared to spend the $399 + tax. Moshe proceeded to tell me he didn’t have any in stock but he would sell me the floor model with 2 year warranty thrown in. Essentially making the same thing they would have without the 2 year service plan. For some people that might sound great, but I’m not new to computers or how to fix them. I would have never utilized the 2 year service and told him that. I said you would have to knock some of the cost off the top of you want to sell me this laptop. He went and spoke to his manager and came back and said okay I can take “50” off but he had to “throw in the 2 year agreement which was still charged at $50. Essentially STILL getting the MSRP for an open box display model. At this point I said whatever I’ll take it. He disappeared for 5 minutes only to come back and advise me that he couldn’t find the box. He said “you’ll get the charger and laptop”. That’s not going to work for me. This is a floor model, a lot of people had their hands on it. Plus the return police states that all returns must include original packaging. If I got home and something was wrong with this laptop I wouldn’t have been able to return it. At this point my patience for the whole scenario went out the window. I told him this all just seemed too hokie and proceeded to leave. He followed me for about 10 steps trying to say something and I didn’t pay it any attention. This was a HUGE waste of my time. How can you expect someone to pay the MSRP for an open box display model? And then to insult my intelligence by “throwing in” a service agreement that probably wouldn’t have even been used. It’s disgusting that Brandsmart still uses the old commission tactics of old. I don’t blame Moshe for trying to make his commission, I blame Brandsmart for making their employees have to use these deceptive practices to make their commission. These days most people do their research before buying a laptop. They walk in and know what they want. I’ll never shop at this store again and will advise anyone I know...
Read moreMy mother was getting a refrigerator and washer delivered which costed over $2000. As soon as the driver exited the truck he demanded a measuring tape, with an attitude right off the bat. The driver then stated he would not move the refrigerator over the kitchen counter which we were understanding of. To further prove his point, which we already understood, he called dispatch and had them explain the same thing which we already understood. We were going to have them carry the fridge to the counter, and lift it over ourselves. Then my mother asked them to start on the washer and in response the driver said something along the lines of I’m going to do whatever I want. The driver put a big dent and scrape in the front lower right side of the washer while taking it out of the truck, which was not there when purchased. He was banging it around inside the truck. This is where everything went down hill. We took of the doors and inserts from the refrigerator so it would be easy to lift for the delivery guys. We asked if we could put the inserts back in once the fridge was outside. The driver told us no we don’t have time very rudely. My mother told him he was being rude and in response he asked for the definition of rude. He was throwing around our washer machine while hitting the shed a few times. Back inside he kept going on about how he’s not lifting it over the counter which was established in the first five minutes and we were okay with it because there was three guys to lift it. The driver then stated to our handyman to get your wife to be quiet which was very sexist to say. After this, the driver said they were canceling the delivery while the appliance were already out of the truck ready to be brought in. The guy working the back of the truck was apologetic for the driver’s actions. The driver’s statements were very out of line. For a $2000 purchase I expect helpful delivery men willing to do their job and actually delivering the washer and refrigerator. I do not expect harassment from the delivery driver, which is what...
