Chocolate Manor — Attraction in Davenport

Perhaps the bar was set too high from all the rave and 5-star reviews, but this shop is honestly just a good chocolate shop. Yes, they make fancy chocolates and caramels which taste pretty good, but what do you expect from a store where that's all they sell? The presentation isn't anything special. The flavors are not unique. The packaging left a bit to be desired. I was not "wowed" in any way. It is not bad, but it is just a regular chocolates shop. If you have a hankering for expensive, good quality morsels of chocolate and caramel, by all means stop by, but don't expect anything groundbreaking. I'm just adding my voice to the chorus of satisfied folks here. This place is terrific. I picked out a sampler, and the young lady helping me was extremely helpful and fun to work with - which is saying something, given the range of flavors they had on hand. I can't say it was cheap, but it was definitely worth it. These are some of the best chocolates I've ever had.

I got my grandma a small box of chocolates from here three years ago, and every time I've seen her since she expects another one. It's gotten to the point where she won't even acknowledge I'm in the room unless I have a box of chocolates for her. I love my grandma, but she is driving me towards a second mortgage with all these damn chocolates. On my most recent visit her doctor told me personally that she needed more Mayan truffles.
