We got married at The Chapel on Sycamore in April and it was everything that we had hoped for! The chapel itself is gorgeous with the dark wood interior and stained glass, and the outdoor space in the spring was perfect for everything from photos to cocktail hour gathering. We had 200 guests and the space was accommodating. Lisa was with us to coordinate our day from the very start and was incredibly prepared, responsive, timely, and helpful in answering my many questions throughout the planning process. She met me at the Chapel to visit multiple times to look at the space as I was planning the event. We used Oakhurst Market, a preferred caterer, for our food and got many compliments (and loved the food ourselves!). We loved the location in Decatur near restaurants and bars for our guests and the ease of travel and proximity to the city and it was easy to book parking for our guests nearby with Lisa's assistance. I would highly recommend The Chapel on Sycamore as an excellent wedding/event venue with lovely and helpful staff. The photos are by OliviaRosePhotography

This is one of the best things I've done in ATL. The locations are beautiful. The candles add a glowing touch, creating a warm vibe and peaceful atmosphere. (Don't worry... they are battery operated to prevent fires! Haha) And the talent of the musicians are to be admired. The only thing I would say is 1) get zone A -- is worth the money to not have an obstructed view, 2) get their early to get the best seats in your zone and to not interrupt the experience of others -- plus it's only an hour; being even 15 minutes late costs you a huge chunk of the event, and 3) DO NOT SING, HUM, or USE FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY! (They do section out av portion of the event to show photos though.) I've been to events where this happened and it was hard to enjoy. But this wasn't the venues fault. The hosts are very aware to only let in late folks in between sets. But they do not wander thru to quiet obnoxious patrons to avoid being a distraction. So let's be adults and be considerate. But go! This is a great date night, family outing, or solo date. Go and enjoy!

I've always wanted to attend a FEVER: Candlelight performance. I saw the Neo-Soul Favorites. This was one of my GRAND Birthday experiences! It was absolutely fabulous! The church and the hundreds of lit candles built a magical ambiance. The perfect date night for sure. I hope to return and see them play other artist/genres. I'd recommend this to any avid music lover. Definitely arrive early for pictures. Know that parking is not ideal. No valet. It was pretty packed and we had to park far away. So we did a mini trek. I did not see any drinks or food stands, so I recommend eating before you arrive. There are several bars/ restaurants near by. I paid for the pictures they take to commemorate our visit. The pics were eh. Other then that it was pretty awesome! I can't wait to return. I love that all the instrumentalist are locals. They really out did themselves. So talented. We definitely tipped them. They deserve it! Thanks!

The Chapel on Sycamore, a 125-year-old stone and wood First United Methodist church turned venue, is a gorgeous space located in quaint downtown Decatur!!! A "hidden gem" -- for the time being -- it rents at a very fair price (October 2023). Our guests couldn't stop talking about what a beautiful wedding space it is -- unlike anything else in Atlanta. We had to do very little to accentuate its stunning architecture by adding warm uplighting to the beams and fabulous old pipe organ (which we were able to use as it is in great working order!) and florals. Lisa Milko, the executive director, is great to work with -- very responsive and organized. We had 190 guests for a ceremony which was then "flipped" for a buffet dinner seated followed by dancing. Walkable to the venue, parking is convenient for a reasonable rate. The Chapel is fairly new to the "venue" scene, so they are still enhancing amenities. The Bridal "getting ready" room with a dedicated restroom was nice, convenient and accommodated our bride and 9 bridesmaids well enough. The groomsmen had space to hang out but a room with adequate and comfortable seating as well as a few amenities would be a great addition. Would...
