So I came to Denver for an Appointment. Booked online thru a third party at what seemed like a fancy hotel downtown Denver. When I arrived they have no parking for the hotel so I payed $16 dollars across the street parking lot, then proceeded in. When walking in I noticed all the signage for Covid. Spoke how Clean and Sanitized the place was for My Protection. Very nice hotel, with fire places in tall glass cases, very fancy. I thought I had really found a Gem. Later that evening I'm laying in bed about to turn off the lights and I notice a bug crawling on my bed. I say to my friend in the other bed "is that a bug on my bed?" She then jumps up runs over to the bug and is like "OH MY GOD THATS A BED BUG". I've never experienced bed bugs so I had no idea what they looked like. I then call the front desk the attendant says he Will Not come up and look, I say fine I took a video. When we get down to the lobby he informs me theres nothing he can do about a refund because its booked thru a third party. I say ok so there's nothing your gonna do for us knowing we are leaving your hotel at 130am to sleep in our car because of the bed bugs you hotel has. He tells me he's worked in hotels for 10yrs and All Hotels have Bed Bugs. Which I deny could even be true, they would be shut down. When I say we will be sleeping in our car because its 1:30 in the morning and we are leaving his hotel, he says you shouldn't have to sleep in your car theres a 100 hotels right here. We even have a sister affiliate down the street I can try to get you into. I then say are you joking I picked this one based on how nice it seemed and you have bed bugs how will I judge the next one? He tells me to call the manager in the morning. At 8:30am I call the manager. He tells me they have to do an investigation of the room before he can say anything to me. He calls me the next day says the pest control came in and INDEED THE ROOM HAS BED BUGS. I say whats the next step....his reply we treat the room. Well what about the bed bugs you've clearly given me and my friend? His response we can give you both complimentary rooms at any of our @Hilton nationwide. WHAT 😳 why would I want that. Does #@Hilton understand that for the average American person it takes hundreds of dollars treating our homes. Its treatment to be retreated to then be retreated every week til they're gone. Have you googled the actual supplies needed to know how much that will be for us. #@Hilton has BED BUGS. They own it, claim it, and apparently don't care if they spread it. This is appalling and disgusting. All the signs posted around the establishment tells you that you won't catch Covid there apparently Bed Bugs are ok for them. I recommend you know and trust the place you stay in. Because the Hilton and they're chain affiliates don't...
Read moreI will start by saying I enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms are nice. They had a good breakfast and our room had cute little towel animals and snacks on the little table in the room! However, when we arrived there was a huge line to wait to check in. Our check in time was 3pm and we arrived at 3:30 to check in. Luckily I had the app so I was able to bypass the line. I had paid for a park and stay room that included the valet cost already and when I went to check out the lady said she would email me a receipt. I asked for a printed version and asked if I had been charged for parking. I was charged again for parking on top of the cost for the park and stay room. She took the charge off but had I not asked about it and had a printed receipt I wouldn't have noticed. But the valet who took our car gave us a ticket at check in that said to text the number on the ticket when we wanted to leave and our car would be available within 15 minutes. This morning we texted the number while checking out at 9am and got a reply confirmation text . With a long drive ahead we wanted on the road early but luckily did not have a flight to catch. The manager in charge of the valet was visibly stressed and running around. We waited next to the valet booth patiently and noticed people who were waiting before us were getting there cars so we continued to wait. Then people who were waiting after us were getting their cars and 30 minutes had passed so we went and asked how much longer it would be. The manager told us our names were now on the list. The text did not work even though we had received a confirmation text. She said sorry but our name was now on the list. I'm just frustrated because we were told that the text was how to get our car back and we got a confirmation text that didn't work. We weren't the only ones who had it happen to us this morning either. Another lady said she missed her appointment because of it. I'm also frustrated because we stood literally by the booth and no one asked about us waiting for 30 minutes. Wouldn't you notice that all these other people are getting their cars and we were still waiting? No one asked to help us and had we not went and inquired how much longer would we have been waiting? It took us 40 minutes to get our car. Again, the hotel was lovely, but you need to be careful about charges and the valet needs some work. If I'm paying $47 for valet parking, please...
Read moreWe arrived at around 5 pm to find out that the AC in the entire building had failed. After some thought and conversation between the members of our family, and doing some searching in the area for another hotel, we opted to check in, hoping that the AC repair would be completed at least by sleep time. Went up to our room which was a nice corner room on the fifth floor. Discovered one of the electric window blinds was broken and would not lower, leaving the room bathed in bright sunshine at 5 am. We’re on vacation. That is unacceptable. Called downstairs to notify and have it repaired. No answer. Had to trek downstairs and notify the front desk, and we were advised someone would be by in fifteen minutes. We also asked for additional bath towels/cloths, as there was only one washcloth in the bathroom. TWO HOURS LATER, no window repair, no washcloths, no AC. We changed rooms to one with working blinds, although not as nice of a location on the fourth floor. This room had two washcloths. A ROOM DESIGNED TO ACCOMMODATE FOUR PEOPLE ONLY HAS ONE, OR TWO WASHCLOTHS??? Are you kidding me? After nine o’clock. Still no AC, and no one has brought up any additional towels/washcloths etc.
This hotel stay has proven to be a debacle. I cannot recommend this location at all. Poor quality rooms, building HVAC in disrepair, and staff that doesn’t seem to care. Terrible. If another hotel would have been available on short notice for a reasonable price we would be out of here.
Will update this review as the week progresses.
Update Received a call from Heather, the manager, who offered to help make things right. So far, everything has been addressed , including the building’s AC. Last evening was miserable, warm, and very difficult to sleep. Now the room we are in is nice and cool. The alternate room has a leak near the bathroom wall, leaving the floor next to the bed soaked, soaking my socks, and a pillow that had fallen off the bed. Our original room still has a blind that won’t go down so we’ll see how that goes. Will be staying here the rest of our...
