Lovely place to take a walk, bike, sit and watch the river boat tours, or just to see from a distance. You get a view of Canada on the other side! It's close to downtown and worth a quick walk to get some fresh air.

This waterfront walk is beautiful. If you start near the Hart Plaza, there are quite a few large sculptures. Proceeding south along the waterfront, there's not much to see as you make your way towards the Ambassador bridge; its just a paved waterfront area. If you go north, you are in for quite a few treats. The GM building complex & promenade is a beautiful example of modern architecture. After passing that, there is an area of trees with benches and smaller sculptures leading to a waterfront park, which is complete with a playground, fountains, a carousel, and a stunning grove of trees. Definitely recommend a sunrise visit, as the views across the water into Canada are magnificent (except for that ugly Cesars Palace...
