Construction is happening! All the roads around the blocks here at Saturday Market are blocked off, have been, and it sucks! I think the roads are be repaved. 8th avenue was pretty bad, I guess. Also, the deck in front of the courthouse has been completely blocked from anyone attempting to get out of the heat and do their beloved Saturday Market socializing ritual. Also, horrible! 😞 I miss seeing my friends and enjoying the drum circle without getting pushed by sales tables or run over by shoppers!! 😭 Also, it seems that sales tables are allowed to use park benches for their wares and/or storage/personal use, literally NO WHERE TO SIT BUT DOG GRASS. Finally, NO DOGS ALLOWED! This is a recent development and in speaking to a local resident, very unpopular, confusing, and upsetting. I wondered if it was for safety due to the construction, but as far as the resident that I spoke to, this is a permanent decision that's made a significant group of people very frustrated. Expensive.

We went on opening day and it was great to be back. We always start out in the food court. We got iced cafe mochas which were delicious, a good size and a fair price. Next we got pad thai and kabobs, the pad thai was great but the kabobs next door were a little dry and lacking flavor. We got there around noon, there was a good amount of people but we still got parking right away. It was rainy and beautiful out. We always finish the market at the produce area and the fresh salad mix greens looked amazing so we grabbed a lb of that along with some oblong shaped radishes and healthy looking chives. Love this market and will be back next Saturday :)
