"A Vibrant, Local Treasure"

The Eugene Saturday Market is an absolute gem - a true highlight of any visit to this charming Pacific Northwest city. As the longest continuously running open-air market in the United States, it's a celebration of the local community, artistry, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Every Saturday from April through November, the market transforms the heart of downtown Eugene into a vibrant, bustling hub of activity. Rows upon rows of colorful vendor stalls offer an incredible array of handmade goods, from unique artwork and pottery to artisanal foods and fresh produce.

What I love most is the palpable sense of community. The market attracts a diverse crowd of locals and visitors alike, all drawn to the infectious energy and the opportunity to connect with talented makers and small business owners. It's the perfect place to find one-of-a-kind gifts, sample delicious regional cuisine, and soak up the lively atmosphere.

Beyond the shopping, the Saturday Market also features live music, street performers, and a kids' activity area - making it a fantastic outing for the whole family. I could spend hours simply wandering through the stalls, discovering new treasures and chatting with the friendly vendors.

If you're in Eugene, the Saturday Market is an absolute must-visit. It's a truly authentic and immersive experience that captures the essence of this vibrant city. Whether you're looking to find unique local products, enjoy tasty regional fare, or simply soak up the community vibe, this market is...

Construction is happening! All the roads around the blocks here at Saturday Market are blocked off, have been, and it sucks! I think the roads are be repaved. 8th avenue was pretty bad, I guess. Also, the deck in front of the courthouse has been completely blocked from anyone attempting to get out of the heat and do their beloved Saturday Market socializing ritual. Also, horrible! 😞 I miss seeing my friends and enjoying the drum circle without getting pushed by sales tables or run over by shoppers!! 😭 Also, it seems that sales tables are allowed to use park benches for their wares and/or storage/personal use, literally NO WHERE TO SIT BUT DOG GRASS. Finally, NO DOGS ALLOWED! This is a recent development and in speaking to a local resident, very unpopular, confusing, and upsetting. I wondered if it was for safety due to the construction, but as far as the resident that I spoke to, this is a permanent decision that's made a significant group of people very frustrated. Expensive.

Just moved to the area from Phoenix and wanted to see something local and I definitely was not disappointed! First off finding parking did take a minute and it was $1.35 for an hour. However an hour was perfect timing to eat and see all the booths. All the food trucks are in one central area that made it convenient and there was a huge variety of food. I ended up getting a chocolate strawberry crepe and black cold brew and it was 5/5. The layout is a nice walk. If you were at an intersection there are booths on all 4 corners of the street. There's a huge blend of art, local crafts, fruits and veggies, flowers, honey, meat, ect. I will definitely be back.
