Gettysburg Recreation Park — Attraction in Gettysburg

I have been a member at dog parks in Maryland and I know you have to pay to be a member there. Gettysburg recreational center dog park you don't have to fill out an application to get in there but there are a ton of rules on the board that you should be aware of before you enter in the dog park like your dog must be neutered or spayed before you can come in the park and you are also responsible for any damages your dog does to anyone else's dog while in the park. I think I prefer filling out an application and knowing that my dog has been approved to enter the park. Dogs are unpredictable just like any animal so I feel that everyone takes a risk when they take their dog to a place like this and also who's to say that these animals are actually vaccinated or not no one seems to be...

The Gettysburg Rec Park has changed significantly since my younger years. Some of the playground equipment has been torn down to make room for a new parking lot, which as sad as it was to see some of the playground go, the parking was most definitely needed to accommodate the many events that take place at the park. Be sure to check out their Facebook or web page for a list of the events they host. There is also still a nice playground with good play equipment located near the community building. The park itself is pretty large, and there is a nice long walking path, with plenty of space for kids to play, and families to gather and have cookouts and picnics, complete with pavilions. There is also a basketball court, and of course the dog park at the opposite end...

I would not recommend this park to anybody. Here’s the reason:

I remember a lot of times my clothes have gotten stained by the swings and the benches, while I was with focus, and mom had got upset about it. In the summertime while having lunch at the picnic benches, I noticed yellow jackets hovering over my subway cup meaning there is yellow jackets nest somewhere. The yellow jacket part is what makes me concerned about getting stung. And the restrooms are dirty as well. I would NOT recommend this park to...
