Tango and I are long time fans of the Rec Park dog park (I'm sorry, the official name of the park is eluding me)for many reasons... The people who I have met at the park are super friendly, and typically maintain good control of their dogs. I completely understand dogs getting riled up, jumping up, etc., but there does come a point when the play gets a little too rough (or unwanted) and the owner should step in. Other than that, it's a great time and doggy exercis. The park comes equipped with benches, doggy watering stations, waste bags and disposable baskets, sandboxes, and very ample room for running! I also like the walking trail that goes through a lot (if not all) of the entire rec park. The only downfall to this dog park is that it gets extremely muddy, sometimes for a few days, following a decent rain. All in all, Tango and I typical really enjoy this park, but have became very partial to the Lake Heritage dog park. Both places are wonderful spots to spend some time with your furry friend; But if you're looking for a little calmer, relaxing place to spend some time with your pooch, check out the Lake Heritage Dog Park and Pet Watch page on Facebook. A big thank you to dog parks...
