Disappointed that a party of two doesn't matter enough to them that they don't allow to book online. We had to wait a couple hours for them to open to hopefully THEN be possibly ALLOWED to book spots for the 12:15 slot that was totally open (10 spots) at 10am when I looked sooooo waited until 10:45 to leave our hotel and had to kill an hour. Went to Lolas, had to spend money there even though we ate breakfast at the hotel. They opened at 12 and the guy was nice but told us that the day was booked until 4:30, well that's a waste of my time and very upsetting so now Im expected to come back to an establishment that wants to make things difficult for me-- why?.. all because Im only going to spend $70 for two people for an hours worth of entertainment. Nope, thanks for nothing Escape Westgate.
Added after I was replied to: thanks for repeating exactly what I said. I understand your ridiculous policy that doesn't care about two people. I was hoping my review might open your eyes to the fact that such a problem exists where not allowing two people to buy online tickets is A HUGE INCONVENIENCE. But no, tell me more about how each room is private.. and yet walk ins are welcome when it's convenient for you to fill up said private room. If you can't just say "hey thanks, we will look in to letting two ppl book online" instead of repeating everything I said and reminding me about your dumb policy that excludes so many.. maybe don't...
Read moreThis is a review for their Bill & Ted escape room only. I have already come out and stated their Lost Tomb room is amazing a must do for any escape room fans, 5 stars that room. Now, to their Bill & Ted room. I enjoyed the room quite a lot, it had a lot interesting Bill & Ted related props and idea, and as an escape room I think the puzzle were mostly well designed, though perhaps a bit too "guess at the answer" on a few of them. I think the only real weakness of this room is that the individuals good parts just don't gel quite as well into one cohesive room. There was no real feel of atmosphere or connection on the whole as it related to the "plot" of the room. It felt more like I had walked into a fan's mock up rather than i was in that universe. The puzzles themselves were also a bit of an odd mix, types that didn't really seem to match each other in service of the "plot" once again. I do recommend this room, it is a solid 4/5 and I quite happy having done it, and if you are a fan of the movie you won't be disappointed, you just may now be as blown away with it as I was with The Lost Tomb. They set a high bar with their first room, I just don't think they quite got over it with this one but they one hell of a valid attempt and one you should definitely judge for yourself and play to see and form your...
Read moreWe have been doing Escape Rooms for family birthdays & events for a while now, and conclusively agree that our experience at Escape Westgate was the best! The Bill & Ted room was EXCELLENT. The attention to detail made it particularly enjoyable and memorable. We managed to escape, which was amazing! It's also wonderful to finally have an escape room in a more convenient location, in the west valley. Also, shout-out to one of the owners, Paul, who was incredibly friendly and helpful on the phone when I called for more information. We will definitely be back to try out the other rooms! The only "suggestion" to make is that it would be neat if there were some kind of prize for escaping/winning. Maybe t-shirts with the "Escape Westgate" logo, or movie posters or other memorabilia (for example: We did the Bill & Ted room, so Bill & Ted items). It would also be great to have theme or event nights/weeks, and if discounts would be available. That being said, this escape room was the same price as ones we've been to before in the Valley & we felt that we got more for our money from the room at Westgate! Thanks for a totally radical experience, Escape Westgate crew. We look forward to seeing you guys again next time. Until then, be excellent to...
