GameStop — Attraction in Glendale

I tried calling this store to ask if they had an item I had planned on purchasing as a gift. The woman who answered the phone did so very unprofessionally and then told (not asked) me to hold on for a minute. She proceeded to lay the phone down on the counter as I heard everything going on in the background. This in itself is extremely rude and unprofessional. She then forgot about me and continued helping the person she placed me on hold for. She continued helping everyone else as I sat on hold for 10 minutes. There were pauses between customers, so I know she was not slammed back to back with customers making it difficult for her to finally answer my call. I then hung up and tried calling back and continued to get a busy signal over the course of the next half hour before eventually giving up. This store could have had my business as my boyfriend was heading that way and would have picked up the item upon knowing that they had it in stock. I don't typically shop at game stores, but I most certainly will not shop at this particular game store if ever I'm in the market for an item they sell in the future.

A word of advice, the owner of this store needs to have some kind of a hold button for callers, which will alert the employees when a caller has been holding after a certain amount of time. Also, having good etiquette is also recommended for anyone in...

They need to train their people. Or else hire people who can read. Checked online that a game was in stock. Called confirmed they had said game in advance dude pulled the disc while i was on the phone. I was looking for "Naruto Ultimate Ninja storm 4: road to Boruto" for PS4 which includes all the DLC and is notably different that "Naruto ultimate Ninja Storm 4" which was the base version with no DLC. I Made sure to highlight the difference in version. Drove a half an hour and got sold the wrong game. Mistakes happen I get that but When I went back in and explained the mistake the dude had the audacity to tell me I was wrong. I even showed him a picture of a clearly labeled disc and he said it was PS5 despite the disc saying ps4 right on it? Ps4 discs have the blue marking on them where as ps5 has white so even if you cant read you should be able to tell the difference.

I would strongly suggest reconsidering buying any used products from this location. Either their inventory is messed up or their staff is grossly incompetent and has absolutely no idea what their talking about. You are likely to get the wrong game entirely especially in this day and age when there are so many different variations of the same games some with much more content then others. GameStop is a very unorganized company. I've run into problems every single time I go to any GameStop whether that be terrible customer service, lack of knowledge and services, and bad products. At GameStop you are allowed to purchase gift cards with your Power up Rewards card. I've don't this many times and had no problems. At this specific location, the sales associate named Danielle or something was very rude and rudely said "you can't use your Power ups card for gift cards".l Immediately explained the policy and even the manager stepped in very rudely saying the same thing. I called customer service and they told me the opposite of what the store told me and Danielle even made up a story saying "it's been in effect for a month". I was even more in shock knowing she just straight up lied to me. On the phone with a supervisor from HR now. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. They are also supposed to be an "authorized cricket retailer". Every time I tried to service my phone or make changes to my phone plans, they looked at me like I was crazy. One associate even told me they didn't know they were an authorized cricket retailer. Management didn't even know the basics or how to train the associates.
