My wife is a huge Patsy Cline fan so when I got received and email from them saying they were having a Patsy Cline review I immediately bought two tickets for us.
We went to the show today expecting an afternoon of Patsy Cline music but instead what we got was a Christmas Show by Lisa Lane. Not at all what we expected.
After the show we asked everyone in the first two rows if they thought they were here to see Patsy Cline to which they all responded yes.
On our way out Lisa Lane was in the lobby. I said todays show was ok but we expected Patsy Cline. She replied I don’t know nothing about that. I just do what they tell me. Then she said do you know how hard it would be to get into costume. I said I don’t really care how hard it is but I expect Patsy Cline if the email stated it and the tickets state it. She replied talk to the manager if you have a problem.
I talked to the manager who I don’t know where those tickets came from. I said everyone around us had these same tickets and there was no mention of a Christmas show. She said too bad I don’t know what to tell you.
In all my years in business I never claimed I didn’t make a mistake. When I did make a mistake I owned it and tried to correct it the best I could. The people at Grandbury Live took the approach of we don’t know what happened but oh well too bad so sad.
I would say if you are considering going to Granbury Live you had better call ahead to see if the show you think you are buying tickets for is the show they are having.
Their deceptive practice and refusal to take responsibility for their mistake guarantees I will never attend another show their … ever!
I simply say buyer beware! They are not the organization...
Read moreThe cashier sold tickets but said we didn't need seat numbers ... owner was upset and had a brief argument over why seats weren't assigned and we had to uncomfortably crawl over people to get to seats that have extremely narrow aisles. The temperature was very warm and then very cold. 2 out of the 3 cover singers were hired last minute it seemed and didn't seem to know the words too well nor were they able to hit the notes. But the guitar and piano players were very well seasoned. Would of been happy with a acoustic versions of the songs.. The backup singer didn't backup the worst singer.. Overall the people seem to enjoy the show. I think it's a nice nostalgic kind of host of venues for people that want to remember their pasts full of good songs and happy moments. Its a nice look at that era.. Definitely for an older crowd. The theater was dark.. But it seemed like it should of been lit since they wanted participation from the audience. . It wasn't a movie.. there were awkward videos and pictures that played still on the sides of the stage.. But that didn't go along with the actual music. Unfortunately the singers didn't sound like the original and didn't express the moods of the musics...
