Always a beautiful place to enjoy a walk, no matter the season. Long as you're dressed properly for the weather, you'll always enjoy walking through. We park at Cancer Survivors Park and sometimes walk towards the waterfall, leading to the shops above the stairs onto the main streets.

Most days, we walk the opposite way, taking the trail-way down by the park a few minutes from the zoo. Could be a short walk or a long walk. Depends on your pace.

Everyone is either walking their dog or riding their bikes. I like to go early when there aren't too many bikes out so my child can run and view the scenery. Most days, depending on the time or event, some bikers forget they share space with runners and walkers, most of us being elderly or with children. They ride pretty fast, and what I don't understand is that most of them don't say anything when coming up on you.

So although I love walking here and always will, I think it could be a bit better if most bike riders were a little more cautious turning especially at those hard to see areas, or coming up on people or children who can't get over as quickly as they ride.

Also, the community center (I'm not sure what that is exactly) is never open. So use the restroom before arriving or walk about a mile towards the restaurant above right before you get to the water fountain that leads to the streets. Restroom sign would be noticeable, except if the restaurant is packed outside, you'd have to walk through them to go towards the back where the elevator is. Bathrooms aren't always clean. Restrooms inside the restaurant is for paying customers. Which is understandable.

Guess the biggest con is a lack of restrooms.

Overall, beautiful...

Truly a gem to be found! It’s an never ending trail! U can start from the survivor cancer park or reedy river park or Greenville zoo or rabbit swamp trail , etc…. It’s all conjuncted and there’s so much site seeing! U can plan a whole day of fun, family time, and adventure here, from trail walking to picnics to historical learning to simply finding a spot by streaming water to relax, read, yoga, or meditation. I always would ride by at night from the hwy and be amazed by the blue lights and I finally decided to stop and explore. Am glad I did 😃🥰. As I was enjoying mi self walking along the trails, I remembered mi dad took me and mi sisters there when we were little kids🥹. Greenville has a lot of Gems to discover indeed and...

Absolutely beautiful and serene area to celebrate life of any kind (especially survival). The water flows through and over rocks and man-made falls. The flowers, trees, and plants are plenty making you feel like you're in botanical gardens. The whole park area is well maintained. The dome area just gives you such a free and open feeling. Stunning at night time. Threes enough swings and benches for everyone to sit and enjoy. It is sectioned off in a few different areas giving everyone space to take life in. Public restrooms are not available but aren't too far away if you make your way to the actual falls. This park will lead you into Swamp Rabbit Trail. This is a place of peace. Beautifully and...

So I came here with an understanding that it is peaceful and tranquil. I stopped by the park after a hectic day at work and I have to say that it was one of the best decisions I could have made. I arrived and I could tell already this would be a place to get my thoughts together. It’s so peaceful here and it was not too crowded. Greenville you did it again. *Update* Returned after 2yrs and it’s as pleasant as I remembered. Today the sun was shining, breezy and the overall atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommended for leisurely walks just to get air.

Cancer Survivors Park is located on the Swamp Rabbit Trail in Greenville, South Carolina. It is in the section of the trail between Falls Park and Cleveland Park. A wonderful memorial to cancer survivors, it brings attention to the disease and highlights some local success stories. The overlook and park area are landscaped beautifully. There are great views of the river below. Don't miss thos section of the trail on you next visit.
