My roommate and I went to this Marshalls/Homegoods today. When we get there there is a woman on the sidewalk with two dogs in a stroller that sees our Service dogs and both of her dogs start viciously barking and trying to jump out of the stroller at our dogs. We rush in check in with the dogs. Things are okay, but my service dog is now on high alert. We start shopping and there is a woman with a young dog that she is carrying and it starts barking and trying to jump out of her arms at my service dog who immediately sits between my legs like she was trained to do. The woman apologizes and immediately leaves the store (so really I have little to no problem with her and her obvious puppy) but THEN my roommate and I split up to look at different things and the first woman with the vicious dogs goes by us and they AGAIN viciously try to attack. I reroute and go to the other side of the store. And while I am at the shoes I hear them AGAIN and somehow I just knew it was at the other service dog. My friend comes over and lets me know that that was in fact what had happened. She takes both dogs and I go tell a manager who says there is nothing they can do. So I go over to the woman and tell her that her and her dogs need to leave because they keep going after my service dogs. She laughed at me and told me to go away and that I could leave and I will admit I LOST it at this point. I let her know it takes time and money to train a service dg and that it is people like her and her dogs that cause people to have to wash our dogs. She told me I was crazy and need help and it doesn’t matter that they aren’t service dogs and there is nothing I can do about it. I called 911 and had an officer come down because at that point I was DONE. She was the straw that broke that camels back if you will. The dispatcher was kind and stayed on the phone with me until the officer got there. He was a young guy and looked annoyed from the start he goes to talk to the manager and the person with the dogs and because they are not PEOPLE reactive we can just avoid them. He refused to allow me to file a police report and said we had the option to avoid her or leave per the store managers. Both my roommate and I said that was unacceptable and he said she has the right to shop and since the store wasn’t going to ask her to leave that it was what it was. As we left I got the store managers names (Jessica morales and Priscilla aponta) and they laughed along with their staff at us the entire time and as we were leaving. I am just so tired of this situation happening again and again; this store being a major issue. I plan on calling the corporate number and the sheriffs office on Monday to make complaints because this is NOT how the situation should be handled. Both the store and the officer were disrespectful and discriminatory and I will be sure to review them on EVERY...
Read moreBought an item on 12th of August (light up tinkle toes shoe) for SCHOOL. Child wore shoes TWICE so bottom was outlined with dirt from walking or playing at school. ONE shoe stopped working so i came to exchange the shoes for the SAME pair. The shoes was 35 dollars. Light up shoes. The manager tells me she’s only going to do it this one time. I HAVE MY RECEIPT AND ITS UNDER 30 DAYS. SHOE IS MALFUNCTIONED. She’s only doing it this one time because she can’t put the shoe back on the sales floor. WHY WOULD YOU PUT SHOES THAT DONT WORK BACK ON THE FLOOR ? She had a store associate bring up a pair of shoes of the same kind to check if both shoes were suppose to work and DID! There’s three things i found insulting, ONE: Being she spoke Spanish to English speaking associates when handling my exchange (and made references about me, I understood) 2: telling me your only going to do my honorable exchange one time when I followed policy and 3: telling me your only doing this for customer service. I’m a manager at a store as well and that’s not proper customer service and I can only imagine how many more has been...
Read moreThis Homegoods has horrible customer service. Their manager insulted me by trying to sell me a damaged product, when I asked if they had one that wasn’t damaged, he said that no one would notice it was damage and actually argued with me about it. Then went on to further insult me by offering me 3% of a $130 painting that had paint chipped off. And told me a 10% discount was not an entitlement! There I was being insulted while in my scrubs. I wasn’t asking for a discount, I was asking for an undamaged product, which I was more than willing to pay full price for. I travel often and have been to many Homegoods, I also have their credit card because I shop their so often, but I will never go back to this one again. Completely unacceptable behavior. I felt extremely...
