BEST COTTAGES review (NOT Best Court)...Great experience, all around!! Called to book direct after seeing Best Court's rooms on another site. The owner pointed out that they had newly renovated rooms available at their next door property, Best Cottages. The rooms at this property are more like large motel suites with full kitchens. Our unit included a King Bed, very large walk-in closet, hardwood floors, and knotty pine paneling for the walls and ceiling, and two 60+ inch TVs in the living room and bedroom. The exterior doors are all electronic locks, so you can check-in very leisurely with a keypad using a code provided. Very clean, very reasonably priced, very quiet and safe-feeling. The location is good if you plan on relying on a car for getting to Bathhouse Row. It's an hour round-trip walk to the far end of the Row and back, if you're walking briskly. Another recommendation is to NOT plan on using the advertised beautifully huge TVs. They are smart TVs relying on internet only, with no cable or satellite service. The property has free "high speed" wifi, with a router in each room, but was, at most, pulling about 8Mbps download speed off of Verizon's 4G network, which was not nearly enough to watch anything for more than 30 seconds without buffering the 70 inch 4k TVs. So, the point is that I wouldn't stay here if I had to do any remote work or rely on internet connectivity as the cell service was severely limited too. Other than the location being slightly too far to be useful as a pedestrian jump off and the unfortunately useless TVs/internet, the place delivered a relaxed, comfortable 3-nignt stay and we'll be back if we are ever in Hot...
Read moreThis place is a dream come true! It looks even better than the pictures. Rooms were big and seemed newly renovated, everything was super clean - even the blinds passed a finger swipe test! The AC and heat worked very well, and had a fan option which is a big plus for me! The place was packed for the eclipse but we never ran out of hot water and had good water pressure. We also never heard our neighbors, or anyone else for that matter, despite the place being full - we felt extremely safe the whole time. The bathroom had excellent lighting to do your makeup. Parking was right outside your door. Beds were some of the most comfortable I have ever slept on, the pillows and comforter were huge and fluffy - I almost didn’t want to get out of bed! They have a cafe right in the parking lot, and it’s a very short drive to Bathhouse Row. The weather was nice enough that we ended up walking there and back. There’s a retro mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker with all kinds of stuff to make coffee in the room.|We came for the eclipse and the owners of the hotel were so sweet and gracious, they gave us a bunch of free high quality snacks and free eclipse glasses!|Warning for handicapped: there were a few small steps to get into the cottage. Old fashioned lights in the middle of the lot and then twinkling icicle lights around each building lent to the charm! There were so many small touches in the decorations, you can tell the owners really put a lot of thought and care into this place and it did not go unnoticed and was very much appreciated. We will definitely be back to stay here again! Thank you guys for a very...
