Alaska Shirt Company — Attraction in Juneau

We stopped by on July 7th. We were very disgusted with the staff and customer service. They accused us of trying to use gift cards fraudulently. Our children were given gift cards by family members to use for the trip. The staff insisted there were no funds on the cards yet THEY kept cancelling and voiding the transaction. We could see them hitting the button on the screen. The manager (cashier 201 according to receipt) came over and was completely unapologetic and useless. He basically threw up his hands and did nothing. He also insisted there were no funds on the cards at which point I called on speakerphone and spoke with someone from the gift card company and they verified both cards were full and verified the balance and it was exactly what we told them the entire time. He just looked at us with a blank stare and again no "sorry for OUR mistake" nothing. I should have walked away but of course the kids were begging for their prized souvenirs. I paid myself and left. They were complete jerks and locally owned or not it is filled with cheap made in china souvenirs. Shop around many items can be found in these cities at other stores for better prices especially the "locally made jewelry". We went down the street and used the gift cards at another store...

First of all, we loved Juneau! It was our favorite stop on our cruise. While there in June, we shopped at Alaska Shirt Company. I had bought a few items that I sent to my son who lives in North Carolina. Unfortunately, he never received his package (USPS)! I took a chance and sent a message through Facebook messenger to Alaska Shirt Company. I explained my situation and that I would like to order the items again, but I did not see an option for that on their website. I received a response from Alex. Although they do not have online ordering, Alex went way above and beyond to help me! He asked what the items were that I was looking to repurchase. He sent me pictures of items to make sure of what I was wanting. Then he packaged it all up and sent it to me. I can never express how much that meant to me!
