Market Square Cheese — Attraction in Lake Delton

Stopped here to get some sausages, jerky and cheeses before we go home from our vacation. When we left, we went to grab gas from a nearby gasoline station. While getting gas, we tried the smoked cheese we bought from there and it tasted like pure salt. You can't eat it. My husband tried it and said the same thing and my mother tried it as well and same reaction. Husband told me to run in real quick since it was right there to exchange it because maybe it was just some bad batch that we got. Asked the young man about it and the older man (I assume the owner) came as he probably overheard that I was trying to exchange it and got all mad at me that I cannot exchange something that I bought and return it. I was trying to explain to him that it was too salty and he got furious, threw the cheese in the trash can and said that he just lost $5 right there with a louder voice. I felt so bad that I didn't even want to exchange it. For Christ sake, it was only $5, he could give himself a heart attack! He was so inconsiderate that maybe he should at least tried the other ones, same as the one I bought that maybe they are going bad already. You can't even taste the cheese but just salt. This isn't the first time we ate cheese. What an awful experience on 4th of July. Got so emotional (pregnancy ofcourse) and left the damn store crying. He insisted to give me a replacement of the cheese I was trying to exchange anyway but damn, seriously. We always stop here everytime we go on vacation at the dells. Will never go back again. And seriously, you are better off going to a gas station for sausages and such and is wayyy cheaper too than this store. And to you young man who got the nerve to tell me to have a nice day leaving the place while you saw me crying, go eff yourself....

Customer service was terrible. I purchased $50 worth of cheese and a necklace for my daughter. She dropped it and the necklace chipped. I went to grab another one to buy, as they are only like $4. The little man at the register said "no, you can't trade it", and made it seem like I was trying to do something shady. I told him I just bought $50 worth of cheese, I am not trying to screw you over for a $4 necklace! While in the parking lot getting my daughter in the car 2 customers came out and said they both put all their items back because your employee was trash talking about me. I will never shop at your store again, as I have stopped here in the past every summer vacation and while...

I was very surprised but the variety of cheese and snack meats to choose from and in different size packages. They have fresh cheese curds avail, etch was the main reason why I came to this store twice during my stay. They also had souvenirs and other things to buy. And a huge selection as well. They do have bathrooms avail which were clean. I was able to find a 15% off coupon for entire purchase. If I didn't have that coupon I would still have can't back the second day and bought my cheese. They say if the cheese doesn't squeek its not real cheese curds and let me tell you it squeeked. The workers were pleasant both days I stopped by. My girls loved the big...
