Fergusons Downtown — Attraction in Las Vegas

The atmosphere was very retro, and they played alternative music and some pop sounded like. I love the art they have around, great for picture ops. The food was delicious, we ordered the octopus, 2 orders of the fries, half chicken and chefs, choice of fish and a Cesar salad. Everything was very savory. The octopus is normally very chewy, but this one just fell apart, which I loved. We ordered 5 dishes a few drinks (Pineapple agua fresca was delicious!), and paid $225.94, including tax and tip. The drinks are definitely on the pricier side but very tasty. We went on a Friday at 8 p.m. and although we had a reservation, there was still a wait. The staff did their best to accommodate us, and everyone was very friendly. My rating is a 4 and not a 5 because this was a Bachelorette celebration that we had made reservations for ahead of time, specifically so we could sit in the outdoor area, however when we arrived they told us the outside area could not be seated as there was an event going on, (wedding). This is definitely something that should have been communicated when we made the reservation. Otherwise, the quality and service was excellent. I tried to visit this space during First Friday and was let in at the entrance without any issue. Inside, I noticed what looked like a farmers market or vendor event, and I was genuinely excited to check out the booths and support small businesses. However, as I started walking around, a woman abruptly approached me and said I wasn’t allowed to be there because it was a private event.

I was confused. There was no signage, no one mentioned it was private, and there was no explanation of what was going on. I tried to ask for more information, but the woman just walked away without answering. It felt very unwelcoming.

One of the vendors mentioned that the event was run by a group called Black Girl Tea Talk. I would have happily paid an entrance fee or followed proper protocol to come back in the future if someone had just explained what was happening. Instead, I was made to feel like I was intruding.

I left disappointed, especially because I saw vendors I genuinely wanted to support. If you’re planning to come by on First Friday, just be aware they won’t want you there unless you're part of it, and unfortunately, they don’t make it clear...

My fiancé and I had our wedding reception on the rooftop of Ferguson’s Downtown and we had the best experience! First, the rooftop space itself is super cute and totally captures the unique vibes of DTLV - this was exactly what we had in mind! 🎰

We also want to highlight the amazing experience we had working with Jeff at Fergusons. He and the team were not only professional and friendly, but were also super helpful with the planning process - organizing the catering, DJ, furniture rentals, floor plan, etc.

We arrived to the event and were happy to see that everything was organized, clean and running smoothly - the bartenders & food staff were efficient and great!
