The Usual Place — Restaurant in Las Vegas

The worst ran concert I have ever seen. No bag checks beforehand, which I get a bag check can be annoying, but seeing as how unsafe I felt tonight, that’s the reason why checks should be warranted. There needs to be security close to the stage at all times to never have happened what happened last night. There was a girl grabbing and tossing the barricade into others repeatedly, disrupting the show numerous times. She was incredibly wasted, maybe even on something. She kept knocking drinks (which $30 tip included on two redbulls and a shot is ridiculous pricing) out of peoples hands, making the floor all sticky and slippery, right where the pit would start. She tried to rip someone’s shirt off, and successfully bit, spat, and clawed people in the face. People, including her, were slipping on the spill and getting hurt. She needed to be escorted out immediately after, but security was not present to see this. She seemed like she was gonna sober up, but nope. I actually did see her go to the bar and have a fresh drink in hand, which could’ve been water but did not look like it to me, but that could’ve been the lighting. If she was served after all this again, that’s incredibly irresponsible. She kept being disruptive and crazy, and security had to pull her out. Yes, she’s banned for life, but anything could happen again. The fact that one big dude couldn’t get her out on his own seems like the security here is lackluster overall, or there needs to be more of it, or trained better. The headliner almost refused to play.

I was there for a memorial for a dear friend the other night. I arrived before they opened since I've been helping the widow cope and had the guest book with me for people to sign. A gentleman who worked there asked if I was family, and if not, I'd need to wait outside. But I explained who I was and what I had and he graciously invited me in and personally directed me in through the back entrance to find my friend. All of the staff were very professional, kind and accommodating all through the night. It was a beautiful atmosphere and everything was very clean including the bathrooms, which can be rare in a bar. Having perfomed about 20 shows at this venue, I have oberserved that bar manager Carlos is pretty rude to the bands that play there and is generally unhelpful.

At our last performance there, our bass player almost had to pay $20 for a "lost ticket fee" to exit the parking lot - the bar usually validates parking, especially for performers. Thankfully, they waived the fee, but not without giving him way more grief than it was worth.
