Worst dining experience I've had... probably this whole year. It took us about 15 minutes of sitting at a table to have anyone come and check us in and provide menus. The restaurant was nearly empty, but to our server's credit, the adjacent bar was probably popping. There seemed to be only one person waiting tables. I can tell she was trying, but clearly was overloaded and scattered. We ordered 2 burgers. About 20 minutes later, only one burger came out. Waited 10 minutes for the second one. As my friend was about to finish his burger, the waitress checked if we needed anything. Yeah. My burger. Oops.
This one came out quicker but it felt like an eternity. I wish I could say it was worth it, but the burger was literally oozing with grease not sauce that formed a worryingly large, pale brown pool at the bottom of the plate. Gross, but I'm so hungry I'll eat just about anything right now. Tasted like a mediocre homestyle or diner burger, barely "bar food" and definitely not "restaurant food". Thankfully we had the forgotten burger taken off the bill, but honestly I would have felt bad paying for it even if it came out on time. Oh, and the fried pickles on the side. The batter was half overcooked and half undercooked. Usually I love fried pickled but I didn't finish these. I finished my burger as quickly as possible, as we had already spent about 50 minutes in there.
I really wanted to leave. We waited about 10 minutes after I finished eating for our server to come give us the check but I gave up and had to go send the bartender at the restaurant into the main bar area to search for her. She finally showed up. After spending a total of OVER ONE HOUR in this place just trying to get fed, I was just glad to leave. Man I usually don't leave reviews like this but I still regret going here........
Read moreBeware, non-existent servers. Went there on a Saturday evening around 5:15pm, the place wasn't busy at all. Before sitting down, my friend and I ordered drinks at the bar and mentioned getting food. The bartender said, "If you're sitting on the patio, we have servers out there to take your order." We said okay. She then asked if we'd like to leave a tab open for drinks, and we did. We then went to sit down outside with the rest of our friends and started talking. 45 mins passed, and we hadn't seen a single server. So I went back up to the bar and asked if we could place an order through her. She insisted there was a server and went to go find her. Finally, the server came to take our order, but when she found out we had a tab open, she told us we would have to place our food order with the bartender. So we go back to the bar to place our order while our friends continue to order their food with the server. Once we got to the bartender, she insisted she couldn't take our food order and said she would have to cash us out instead. Cool. So we go back to our table, and the server is gone, and our friends have already placed their orders. After 30 minutes of waiting for their food to come out, which consisted of truffle fries, tots, and chips w/elote the server rushed off, and we never got to place our food order. Although at that point, seeing that it took 30 minutes for the little things our fiends ordered to be cooked, it was looking like maybe it was for the best. We finished our drinks and our friends finished their food and we went to another place to order food. This place lacked in so many ways, and we were completely flabbergasted at the way things were handled. Take my advice, don't go here if you want to order food or have...
Read moreI just moved into the neighborhood, and Atomic Kitchen immediately made me feel welcome. The staff and regulars have that genuine old-school Vegas vibe — friendly, down-to-earth, and always up for a good conversation. I’ve already met some great people here, including a few familiar faces and even a couple un named celebrities. It's an iconic spot for them to pop up in or stop by and films like casino and hangover have been film there....
The bar itself has rich vegas history — it’s the second oldest bar in Las Vegas, Rat Pack, Barbra Streisand, and Clint Eastwood, Hunter s Thompson, Bugsy Seigal and more. It's safe local bar and you can feel that legacy in the walls and socking into your body. It’s one of those classic-cutty Vegas spots that locals love but tourists can still stumble into and feel right at home. It has that Peppermill kind of magic, where you never know who might stop by for a drink or two. You might see a celebrity, a well-known local entertainer, or even a lowrider or classic car club rolling through for photos or a video shoot which I just saw happen...
The food is great, the drinks are affordable, and it’s just a short walk from Fremont Street. The retro atmosphere makes it perfect for creative photo ops and casual nights out.
If you’re looking for a laid-back Vegas bar with real character, great people, and a piece of Vegas history, Atomic Kitchen...
