Walking into Peyote, you are immediately greeted by an ambiance that promises an unforgettable dining experience. That promise is not only fulfilled but surpassed, thanks especially to the unparalleled service and remarkable culinary delights.
The menu at Peyote is a testament to the chefs' dedication to excellence, with dishes that are as visually stunning as they are palatably pleasurable. However, two items stand out and come highly recommended for anyone venturing into this gastronomic paradise: the Leche de Tigre Ceviche and the Tiradito. Both dishes offer a burst of flavors that are a delightful dance on the palate, signifying the careful thought and profound expertise behind their preparation.
While the food at Peyote sets a high standard on its own, the star that elevates the entire dining experience shines from behind the bar. Sophia, the bartender who has had the pleasure of serving me on two occasions, is nothing short of a mixological maestro. Her ability to craft drinks that are not just beautiful and delicious but perfectly tailored to individual tastes is unparalleled. Sophia's skill set goes beyond the extensive menu, venturing into the realm of creation, where with just a hint of your preferences, she can conjure a drink that feels like it was made just for you.
Sophia's expertise, however, is matched by her effervescent spirit and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that each visit to Peyote is more than a meal--it's a moment of relaxation and joy, akin to being welcomed home. Her welcoming energy is contagious, setting a tone for the evening that is both comfortable and luxurious.
It is this incomparable combination of culinary mastery and personal touch, largely imparted by Sophia, that makes Peyote a gem worth returning to. On each visit, I find myself hoping she's there, not just for the incredible drinks, but for the warm, personalized service that she embodies. Sophia is not only a tremendous asset to Peyote but an embodiment of what makes the restaurant truly special. She deserves every accolade, including recognition of her invaluable contribution to the dining experience.
The entire experience was made even more memorable by the delightful presence of Charlie, the manager. His genuine warmth and friendliness immediately put us at ease, shaping our experience in the most positive way imaginable. Charlie's approachable and caring demeanor truly stands out, making it clear that he is deeply dedicated to ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued. It's rare to encounter someone who can so effortlessly make a significant difference in the way you experience a place, but Charlie does just that with his friendly face and kind interactions. Our visit was not just about the environment or the offerings but was significantly uplifted by the personal touch provided by Charlie.
In sum, Peyote is more than a restaurant; it's a haven where fine dining meets exceptional service, thanks to talents like Sophia. Whether you're a first-timer or a returning patron, Peyote promises an experience that will leave you yearning for...

Pros: the ambiance of this place is just so cool. Excellent music (and a great sound system). Great live music as well on Sunday nights! Cocktails: 10/10, super tasty and well thought out. Apps: so far, I’ve had the steamed clams which I thought were really solid both times. The veggie tempura was also awesome, and the dipping sauce is also delicious. I didn’t try any, but everyone at the table was a huge fan of the fry bread.
Cons: Service could be better… both times we’ve had to wait a long time for service, and even after the food gets to the table no one comes around to check on you for a while. You can tell they’re pretty busy and stressed, too. 6/10
Main courses: absolute joke… mushroom Chile relleno doesn’t have flavor and it lacks any kind of heat/kick. Relleno gets a 2/10. Mushroom risotto was so bland and disgusting I could even finish the dish. I had to ask for salt to even be able to taste anything. It was like eating mush. 0/10 Everyone else pretty much had the same opinion of the food when it came out, too. SEASON YOUR FOOD, SALT YOUR FOOD. I’d rather eat a frozen meal from the store than eat a main course at peyote again lol…
Timing: I think each time we waited like… 45+ min for our main courses to come out. I watched a couple sitting at another table get up and leave since only one of them got their food and they had been there for a long while.
Don’t waste your money on a meal, there are so many better options in the area, but totally stop by for a drink.
Oh yeah - 2nd time around was also for a birthday, which basically went...
Read moreThe food: AMAZING, the drinks: GREAT, the customer service: OUT OF THIS WORLD. Our server made the experience a million times better. When my friend first arrived, I told her to present my name for the reservation. The host at the front claimed she couldn’t find it. My friend asked for a table and she then directed her. The host wasn’t the best so we thought the experience would be bad just from that alone. When my friend sat down the seat was wet and the host claimed they had just cleaned it. They dried it and she was reseated there. When I showed up no one greeted me. I found our table and just sat down. When out server arrived she explained the specials and menu to us. We ordered drinks. The first drink I ordered, I did not like. It was very bitter. I asked to trade for another. The server kindly took it back and made sure the next drink was better. A-last, the next drink tasted like raspberry beer and was not something I like (Particularly because I cannot drink carbonation without getting sick). They took it back and grabbed another for me. This one was the drink of all drinks 10/10!!! Our food was exceptional and so hot it was boiling almost. Straight from the stove to table. They checked on us and made sure we were well taken...
