LONG REVIEW...BUT INFORMATIVE!! Attended Cinnebar at the Palace Station this New Year's evening. Got to the theater at 5:30pm for the 6:30pm showing of Nosferatu. Here's where ish gets weird, then unacceptable. Theres No signage whatsoever about concession or anything of the sort. Now, I'm a problem solver, sometimes to a fault, so I go online to see if there's any hint to the concession offerings before deciding to go downstairs to the China Mama. After looking at the pdf menu we decided to order at the theater. But it was perplexing as nothing on the menu allowed for a link to order or instructions etc for the purchase of concession items. So I think, maybe the key is the app, so I begrudgingly install the Regal app and sign up for a membership. OK, I see a concession option at the bottom, good to go?! No. You are to select which Theater you're currently in and the very top is for Cinnebar at the Palace Station with a notice that online mobile concession ordering is unavailable. Hmmmmš¤ so we go ahead and present our tickets to enter assuming that the concession HAS TO be through the corridor leading to the theaters. No. We head to the theater and I assume that it must be like other eat in theaters ive visited where theres a call button etc in the theater. We arrived in the theater 45 mins or so before the movie started. No call button. So by the time 6pm arrives (30 mins before the start of the film) I ask the attendant at the podium, she says someone will be in to take our order. OK, cool, I've had this type of service before but difference is those theaters are half if not more smaller than this one, but ok. So the theater fills up and 1 by 1 I notice other ppl leaving & returning to, I assume, find out about the concession. 6:30, start of the film, comes and not until the SECOND trailer did ANYONE come to take a theater full of ppl (50 or so) order. The trailers (extended ones) ads and at least 15 minutes of the movie in did they finish taking orders (with ours being last). I ordered the hot chicken sandwich which fell apart, the bun was soggy and the napkins received were nowhere near enough due to my fingers being extremely sticky from the honey. My daughter ordered the wings no complaints from her. Our food arrived 1 hr into the movie, drinkless (I ordered their Nosferatau amaretto sour and my daughter ordered a vanilla shake after being told they had no cookies and cream)... I'm being patient but 15-20 mins pass after we received our food and still no drinks I flag a "waiter" down to inform him. I'm told they know and have a cart they're offloading with drinks. I received my amaretto sour 1 hr and 40 mins into the movie. They FINALLY came to inform us that they were out of shakes altogether and offered a refund and a free beverage at the 1 hr 56 min of the film. So 10-15 mins of film remaining and our order is completed w/ a soda drop off for my daughter. I noticed other patrons that were still dealing with their orders when my daughter got her soda. This model of order taking on a movie theater isn't unique. It's done all over. The biggest differences are the size of the theater, there should be at most 40 seats. The other difference is the start time. When I've frequented other places like this they start taking your order at least 30 mins b4 the movie starts. Also, you can still go the concession stand for regular goodies like popcorn, soda candy etc. They had no signage, info on the app or website or in the email w/ your tickets with info on how the process works. So it would be up to the person at the podium taking tickets to preemptively EXPLAIN to each new movie goer how things work. If you're offering concierge level service... OFFER AND DELIVER CONCIERGE LEVEL SERVICE! I absolutely will NEVER return as I see this isn't a one off thing. Until they change some very fixable things they will see a decline in patronage& a decline in positive reviews from folks like me(You REALLY dont want my opinion)DO BETTER!!! Pro:that Nosferatu Sweet Release pomegranate amaretto sour was 10/10,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is an update to my initial review, which I've left below so that Regal can appreciate the consequences of making choices that piss off their customers. Unfortunately, I need to downgrade my previous rating. Everything I said in the previous review about the moviegoing experience is still accurate but we've now tried ordering food there several times & the experience has been beyond bad. What's the point of offering premium service to your seat if they're going to take nearly an hour to bring you your drinks and then offer you no way to refill them? Adding insult to injury, they only offer one size of drink here and it's small. I've asked several times now how to get refills and they say to just wave someone down. Unfortunately, after the first 20 minutes, all the servers disappear off to Narnia or somewhere similar, never to be seen again. The cup size thing actively pisses me off when they know damn well that they won't be around to refill my drink. At Regal's other locations, they offer you an actual large cup and you can go get it refilled whenever you need. If you try to do that here, they hassle you about coming to the counter yourself and it takes 6 times as long. This is crap when you're trying not to miss much off the movie. I actively avoid this location now if I know I'm going to want popcorn or drinks. It's easier to just drive to Sunset or Summerlin. Understand that this is a drastic statement considering how long their lines are now that Regal decided to do away with their box offices and force everyone to go through the concession lines. I'm starting to actively hate this company. If AMC opened more locations in LV, I would immediately switch my monthly subscription back to them __
Original Review: This is our new favorite theater in town. We had seen movies at the Cinebarre in our previous home of WA and it was fine but they didn't even have recliners, which you kind of have to have to justify the premium price. The service was great, the theater was comfortable and inviting, the sound was good and the location is cool. The only complaint we have is the parking, which isn't really the fault of the theater. The Casino has a huge empty section in front of the theater portion of the hotel that has never been filled or even vaguely used when we've been there forcing us to park on the other side of the resort and hike through it. Aside from that, we go out of our way to attend films at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis has always been my first choice when it comes to movie theaters. But that changed cos of my last visit.
I've been super excited to watch a movie again in an actual theater since the pandemic happened, and this was the only place I had in mind. I went here a few days ago to watch the F9 movie, and I was disappointed with my experience.
I mean with the cinema, I don't really have a complaint other than the place stunk a little. But with the service and the staff, I have a couple.
The main reasons I go to this place for movies are: They have reclined seats They have food servers that come to you inside the theater
But during my last visit, I was beyond dismayed. Yes, the server came up to take my order before the movie started so I thought everything was doing well. 30mins had past and there was no food yet. I said to myself, they must've been busy outside (preparing and serving orders), so I said it's fine. But an hour had past, STILL NO FOOD FOR ME. I was starting to get frustrated cos I was starving, so I decided to go outside to look for a staff. I found the server who took my order and she said she will look into it. I came back right away cos of course, I didn't wanna miss out on the movie. It has been an hour and a half, and there were still no signs of ANY food or even ANY staff who would come up to explain why it was taking FOREVER. I hated the fact that I had to come out again to talk to a staff. So, I went out again for the second time, talked to a staff and all he said was just come back and look for the manager after the movie and ask for a refund.
At this point, I was mad as hell. I would've understood if I didn't see a lot of staff walking outside the theaters, but there were tons which means they weren't understaff. But I'm such a huge fan of the F&F movies, I just had to finish the movie even with an empty stomach.
After the movie, I immediately approached a staff and asked for the manager, so of course, that took a good 10-15mins again, the manager came up and explained why I didn't get my food. He refunded me the amount I paid for my food order and also gave me 1 free admission. That was the only good thing that happened that day.
Such a shame cos I've always liked this place, but now I guess I have to find a new...
