First hotel I’ve ever stayed there was only a sheet, no blanket or comforter. Front desk nasty rude for everything! I was told a blanket or comforter did not exist in the entire hotel and then I was brought one later after I emailed general manager, who is not on site. That manager got nasty and threatening after I emailed, clearly you trained and support the rude staff here. The air conditioner is falling out of the wall, so filthy, and caused me health issues when I turned it on heat because it was a chilly evening and all of that burnt dirt and dust smell in my room. My throat became more and more swollen during my stay, which was supposed to be for rest. My allergies always reacts to mold, or severe dust.
I asked for a refund after my first night here and was quite firmly and rudely told that they never ever do that. They refused for awhile to provide me with contact general management. I did reach the general manager by email, but they supported the behavior of front desk staff and threatened me that they were sending security footage of anytime I visited the front desk to headquarters and I said please do. I was only there for a check in and when I went down the second morning I was here because Because the Wi-Fi had gone out the night before and the phones so if my cell phone had died, I would’ve had no way to call 911 if I had a medical emergency. They were rude then too. I would like to talk to general headquarters, but like this general manager, if you read all the negative reviews on here clearly they are aware of everything is bad about this place. The Wi-Fi on my TV never worked again the rest of my stay. I enjoy casting my own TV shows to the TV and that was not a possibility after my first night here. so much for Monday through Friday restful stay here. After reading the other reviews I’m just so grateful I wasn’t here for any of their pool parties. It’s very noisy in the rooms, and one can hear every car go by, car alarm beep, every noise outside and I have not the greatest hearing with my tinnitus.
Very industrial location with bad views. They are just nasty here. I’ve never been met with seriously such rude service at a hotel for asking basic questions like when is the Wi-Fi going to be working? Can I have a refund? Why don’t you have blankets on your beds?!?
No matter what I tried to do, I was met with hostility and then threatened by the general manager and told I wasn’t allowed to go to the front desk anymore. So I couldn’t even ask when is WiFi/ tv WiFi features ever going to work again and I tried emailing their general manager with no response. This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed in Vegas or anywhere. Do not be drawn in by their supposed for 420 vibe. They only allow it on 4th floor of the hotel. You can pay extra to stay on. The parking is sketchy looking. I would never go in that pool. This place is just gross, rude, and very noisy. I’ve had housekeeping walk in my room with no knock or notice because they didn’t know there was someone in here they said. That was very startling. The first two mornings I was here they went up and down the hallway, except my do not disturb sign and banged on every door or slammed every door, saying housekeeping until I complain that was too much noise. So they then started construction of some kind on my floor all day. My last night, I had guests staying above me. I could hear every footstep.
Save your money and go stay at any other cheap motel like the travel lodge that this was. Or get comped on the strip. There were no instructions on the phone whatsoever, so I could only call zero and then was told I’m not allowed to contact the front desk. All they knew were same redundant sentences like I don’t know or no refunds is our policy if you leave early. I only stayed because I couldn’t get a refund, per their policy. I will never stay somewhere again without reading the negative reviews closely. The only way they’re getting five star reviews now from anyone is if it’s a bot or they’re...
Read moreI've traveled a lot--internationally and short distance, from New Zealand to Fiji to Budapest to Morocco, you get the picture. Mostly while broke and in college, which I mention so that nobody mistakes me for just another Karen who can't handle a little bad lighting or neighbors having fun. For the United States--and especially for Las Vegas--one could do better. The concept is cute, but:
all of the "art" is just prints, in case anyone was wondering if they were about to walk into a museum. It gives that impression when you first enter the lobby, but it's just a bunch of prints, which get steadily lower in quality the closer you get to your actual room. By low quality, I mean some of the images basically completely cracked and chipped away. If you're lucky enough to have "art" in your room that isn't cracked, it's probably stained with previous visitors' spilled drinks (or whatever it is). What's the point of walking into an artist-themed hotel or room when you can't even see the work? Which brings me to:
It really is dark. Those other reviews are not being overly picky. Forget about doing your makeup or matching your clothes anywhere in this building. Usually I just sit by a window with my own mirror if I'm worried about bad lighting but these windows--thin windows, by the way--are quite literally overshadowed by the roof overhang, so good luck getting any natural light, either. Doesn't help that the bulb is burned out in my entry light, and there are no light switches anywhere intuitive near the door--I had to wander in a ways with my phone light to locate the black switches. I cannot imagine what inspired the property managers to keep black paint, black tile, and dark carpet everywhere in this building that they know is already basically a crypt.
It's LOUD. You could probably hear a sneeze next door, which I wouldn't mind as much if there wasn't thumping base from the afternoon on. I'm just glad I brought along my construction earplugs or I know I'd have no chance of sleeping.
It is also much dirtier than I had expected. I literally found previous visitor's lost items barely under the bed, stiff dark spots in the carpet from spilled something or other, sticky spots all over the table where I'm trying to work. I saw a grey spot on the toilet seat that I assumed must be permanent--otherwise it would have been cleaned off, right?--before scratching at it with my fake nail to check, and it started to come right off. Cue the immediate, thorough handwashing!
There's only one waste bin, so get ready to bulk up any recycling with any trash in the same, tiny bin. I moved mine into the bathroom so there would at least be one where it's needed most.
This one is maybe kind of picky, but the water left in bottles in the room has multiple ingredients in it besides water and makes a carbonated sound when it opens, though it is not sparkling water. Given the state of Flint, Michigan to this day, and the brown tap water in Midland Odessa, TX, I'm always wary of tap water, but what's someone supposed to do when the bottled water looks to be glorified tap water, too?
There are broken fixtures, chipped and messy paint, super dusty bathroom fans--probably not doing much, those--missing screws from the picture frames.
Unfortunately all of this is just from my first 3.5 hours here. I'm sure I'll encounter more issues later. I came prepared for the partying and music--hell, I'm vaccinated, I was prepared to partake--but there is no respite if you need a moment to gather yourself after a long day, and that--to me, anyway--is 50% of the point of staying in a hotel, anyway. ESPECIALLY one that doesn't allow kids. I'd take noisy kids over all of this any day.
All of that said, the service here has been incredibly sweet. But the sweetest service in the world won't save me from bedbugs or sleepless nights during what was supposed to be a fun and relaxing weekender. For $350 I just...
Read moreI recently had the misfortune of staying at The Lexi Hotel on July 7th -10th for a group social event( OUR TRAVEL GROUP BROUGHT OUT THE WHOLE HOTEL FOR THE WEEKEND), and I can confidently say it was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. From the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out, everything about this place was an absolute disaster.
Let's start with the check-in process. THEY LET SOME OF OUR GROUP CHECK IN EARLY. THIS IS THE ONLY POSITIVE THING I CAN SAY ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE. The front desk staff was rude and unprofessional. They seemed disinterested in providing any sort of customer service. It felt like they were doing US a favor by allowing me to stay there. The lack of hospitality was truly astounding.
As I enter the lobby, I was hit with an overwhelming stench that could only be described as a combination of stale water and mildew. (There a dated fountion in the middle of the lobby). The one elevator there can only be described as SPOOKY and SLOW. The room was reccently renovated but it still felt cramped, and poorly maintained. THE FLOOR HAD DIPS IN IT. The furniture was minimalist style but you get a beautiful view of the expressway from your window.
To make matters worse, the bed was uncomfortable and the linens were thin and scratchy. I had trouble falling asleep due to the constant noise coming from the freeway and adjacent rooms. It felt like there was zero soundproofing, as I could hear every conversation and footstep. It was impossible to get a decent night's rest.
The bathroom was another horror story. The shower had weak water pressure, and the temperature fluctuated between scalding hot and freezing cold. The towels provided were threadbare and had seen better days. The lack of basic amenities, such as toiletries and a hairdryer, was disappointing and inconvenient. There arent any safety bars or shelves to place personal toiletries. The shower flooded the floor every time you used it. My shower handle broke off one night. The maintenance man was unable to find a proper part to fix it correctly so he said just be careful when you take a shower.
Furthermore, the hotel's facilities were a complete letdown. We were told that we were be able to do certain things as our group booked a whole hotel only to find out When We all got there we were restricted to what we could do we could even drink Water at the pool unless it was provided by their staff. It was over a 100° every day that weekend ...how do you regulate someone drinking water!!!!???? The pool was nice but we couldn't even enjoy it because Security kept circling like vultures to make sure we weren't breaking their "new rules".
To top it all off, the customer service throughout my stay was abysmal. Whenever I tried to voice my concerns or request assistance, the staff was dismissive and unhelpful. It was as if they were purposely ignoring my and my travel mates complaints. They showed a complete lack of respect for their guests and their comfort, NOT TO MENTION THE CHANGES THEY MADE TO OUR CONTRACT THE DAY WE ARRIVED. THE CONTRACT WAS AGREED+ SIGNED OVER A YEAR AGO!!!
In conclusion, I strongly advise against staying at Lexi Hotel. It's in an unsafe part of Vegas (its not even close to the strip) and poorly managed establishment. The lack of basic amenities, terrible customer service, and overall subpar experience made my stay a nightmare. Save yourself the trouble and find a different hotel that actually...
