One of the standout aspects of WRI is their field trips which provide Hands-On experiences that inspire curiosity for the natural world. My granddaughter had an incredible time exploring, learning about the ecosystem, and engaging in activities that made science and conservation come alive. I love going for walks throughout this reserve, seeing the beautiful gardens of native and non native plants, sighting birds and learning about our environment. WRI has self guided maps and brochures to help you learn about and explore the grounds, and activities for families who want to get out and have fun in nature close to town. My husband and I snowshoed this past weekend with WRI at Icicle River. It was our first time snowshoeing (as we are new to the area) and had the best time! The group was 13 in size and such a great mix of folks, some local, some traveling in for the weekend.
