We were only on course 2 of the 7 course prix fixe dinner, and I was wondering if we could come back for a second night. The food is presented beautifully, a work of art, with an emphasis on the fresh, local, organic, farm to table ingredients. The entire dinner was a culinary pleasure for the eyes and tummy.
I got the non-alcohol pairing while my husband got the wine pairing. I enjoyed the variety of drinks from the Huney Jun Raw drink to a Butterfly Effect to a Spicy Watermelon Recharge with the Mana Love Blend tea for dessert.
For the August menu, the Abundant Garden, Smoke Beet, Hyssop-Hempseed Dressing, Dragon Tongue salad was a unique blend of different flavors of crisp crunchy flavors and textures which made it an absolute delight. "I could get this all week, and I don't even like salad," was my thought.
I also enjoyed the Miso Black Cod with green garbanzo risotto, ponzu foam and fried capers.
Inside was a simple, modern environment and the outside seating looked lovely with the lovely and widely spaced tables, perfect for a romantic evening.
I saw a Facebook post by Hans, owner of the Obertal Inn, who had come here for his birthday, and the food looked amazing. I research local restaurants before I go anywhere and had not seen Mana before. I made reservations, and I am so glad we came. Mana will be the top of my list for reserving when we come to Leavenworth again!
I loved the spiritual fortunes or notes at our place by the menu, such as "Thank you for focusing on LOVE and expanding it always. You are full of love and spread love everywhere you go." Thank you for spreading love through your food...
Read moreI want to apologize for sending this out so late! I just want to say that our overall experience at Mana was amazing! When we were initially sat, I excused myself from the table to use the restroom. Using the restroom was not my actual plan but it was rather to discreetly locate a manager to see if they could help with surprising my girlfriend with an engagement ring. When I rounded the corner (out of sight) from our table of 6 I saw a group of staff and eagerly announced my plan to them not knowing who was who. They quickly replied OMG YES and the everyone was filled with excitement (I was amazed!)….. the manager and Chef shuffled me to the kitchen where I stashed the ring, made small talk (I’m a chef too), and then strolled back to the table in order to not create any suspicions. I was a tad nervous but was fairly confident she’d say yes so I tried not to think about it too much while we enjoyed ourselves. We had 5 or 6 wonderful courses as everyone was spot on in their delivery. Finally it was time for desssert and here they all came together as they placed the final course in front of us and a ring box in front of my love. She was slightly confused because we both have Birthdays in September and she was thinking it was an early birthday gift ( her dessert had a candle in it) She said, “Whats this?” As I reached over, grabbed the box, scooted out my chair and took a knee…… She said yes!! 🎉❤️…. I’d like to thank the entire Mana staff for creating a phenomenal and memorable experience! We’ll be back again and I really appreciate your warmth and willingness to assist that...
Read moreSet your expectations! Reserve a table in advance, prepare for a pre-fix 8 course meal (small plates and very filling over 3 hours), and except delicious locally sourced and minimal interference preparation of foods. This meal was interactive, set-apart dining (especially for the Leavenworth area). All the staff was very friendly, warm and fun. We enjoyed our experience for an anniversary dinner and would recommend Mana as a fun, special occasion spot to dine. They did a wonderful job at working around a few allegories for us, and after mentioning them upon booking, I didn’t have to remind any staff again. I felt very cared for during the meal in that way.
Covid precautions were lower than I was expecting though. The chef often didn’t wear his mask behind the counter that’s in the main room as everyone, the room everyone was seating in had little airflow, and diners tables were not spaced 6 ft apart. The dishwasher also wasn’t wearing a mask, which made me feel uneasy of someone breathing on the clean dishes. The waiters did a pretty good job at not lingering at tables though, and had a system set up so they didn’t have to touch guests silverware or water bottles. That being said, I wish a new set of silverware was brought for dessert. It’s a long meal of many different flavors to hang onto the same set of silverware...
