*Update: Leavenworth Village Inn promised a 25% refund but now refuses to respond to emails and messages. Bad business ettiquette!
We stayed here about a year ago and had a wonderful time so when we had just 1 night without kids, a rare occasion to be sure, we decided to book a room at the Leavenworth Village Inn and travel 2 hours over the mountains to stay the night. Upon arriving I had a horrible headache and just wanted to lie down and have a nap. After getting into our room we realized it had not been cleaned. The floor was filthy, there were bobby pins scattered about, the bathtub had hair and grime in it, and there were sticky rings on the tables as if someone had set down glasses overflowing with soda pop. The sheets appeared to have been changed but were all wrinkled so it was hard to tell. We let management know and they sent someone up to clean which was great except I had a horrible migraine and we had to leave and come back later after they were done cleaning. We finally settled in after eating dinner and tried to go to sleep later only to have a neighbor apparently get locked out of his room around 11 pm and start pounding like he was the police and yelling for someone named "Liz" to open the door. He did this for quite some time but at first we thought it was our door he was pounding on and were scared to death someone was going to pound or kick down our door. We nearly called 911. This man went back and forth to his car or truck multiple times, slamming the door each time, he would start it up, turn it off, honk the horn (door lock) come up, pound on the door, then repeat until I was about to lose my mind. I tried calling the front desk numerous times and no one answered, there was no emergency number either! Finally, after pounding for something like 30-45 minutes this guy got a number to call the after hours people which he did loudly on speaker phone right outside our window. We later found out this phone number for after-hours help was hanging on the window downstairs but we wouldn't have known that and we weren't about to wander around outside when we were undressed and in bed with a potential mad man outside. So when this guy finally spoke to the after hours person he again did his routine of the car/truck, slam doors, start up loud engine, then open/slam door, honk horn (lock) and come upstairs with the Inn lady to unlock the door. The lady finally lets him in and what does he do 20 minutes later? He goes back out to his vehicle and locks himself out AGAIN! So there he is locking car with horn, pounding on the door AGAIN. We were about to lose our minds! On top of this most of the guests seemed to be partying and drinking, they were screaming all through the night and bashing around.
The next morning the loud neighbor got up early and he and his wife/girlfriend were clomping around outside yelling at each other, loading stuff, honking door lock again and again. It was a HORRIBLE stay and when we told the front desk they said they couldn't do anything but that she would tell the manager and they would be in touch. They never got in touch so we called and emailed and finally got a response saying they can't control the behavior of other guests and offered only a 25% refund.
25% after that stay? What a joke!
Needless to say we will NEVER EVER be back again and are very disappointed in the way this was all handled. The lack of cleanliness, the lack of an emergency number (readily available), the lack of sleep, and the lack of empathy all sum it up to a SINGLE STAR for this awful night at the Leavenworth Village Inn. 1 year ago I gave it 5 stars but no longer, we won't be back and suggest you stay...
Β Β Β Read moreIf you're a first responder of any kind, and you know things can change with your schedule at the drop of a dime, do not book with this hotel. My husband and I were going to stay here with our kiddos for 2 nights because we never see my husband since he started his EMT work. Well, at last minute he received more mandatory overtime, so we had to cancel our stay. Instead of refunding us back for the first night, they were rude and snooty over the phone (Lizzy from the office) and only made sure we didn't get charged for the 2nd night (which we greatly appreciate but any respectable business would look at the circumstances and refund the whole thing). I was lied to by lizzy saying I could only reach the manager Jennifer VIA email when I should have been able to discuss matters on the phone. Even when I talked to lizzy on Monday after our card had been declined on Sunday (we were not aware money had to be in that account for the booking BEFORE we even stayed there), she had a very rude tone over the phone. I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE who knows that life can happen and things can change in the blink of an eye, especially based on your job, because even for first responders who have no choice, they don't care. I'm very displeased and will not be staying here in the future either. Jennifer is a very unprofessional manager. I would not deal with this hotel ever again or recommend it. I wish I could show the email Jennifer Garcia wrote. Her exact words
"Dallas,
We were committed to you as our guest, and kept your room reserved for you. You are responsible for your room tonight. There is not someone else to discuss your problem with. Quite frankly, we do not want you or anyone like you to book with us because you cancel hours before you were supposed to arrive. If your husband has such a last minute schedule, don't reserve in advance since you expect everyone else to change for your circumstances."
I have saved all emails from this very unprofessional manager!

Β Β Β Read moreMy wife and I just spent a few days in the Rustic Chic Suite. The staff was excellent. From check in to check out, everyone we dealt with was very nice and professional.
The suite has a nice layout with a kitchen complete with full size refrigerator, stove/oven, and dishwasher. They advertise a coffee pot but it's just one of those little one cup deals. Luckily we thought to take our own 12 cup coffee maker along with a toaster. The room itself is pretty outdated. There's some pretty bad patch jobs in the drywall from some kind of repair work that was done, the millwoork/baseboards are all beat up, and the paint job is less than professional. When the unit above the bedroom uses there shower you can hear the water running through the pipes and echo through the walls. There's isn't any soundproofing from the unit above either. You can easily hear people walking around. We also knew when they were using the jacuzzi tub. It's very loud....especially at 11pm when nothing else is going on, it's pretty loud. The laundry room (or something) is backed up against the suite. It would've been nice if management would wait til daytime hours to do whatever it was they were doing rather that at 10PM. The cleanliness of the suite looked good to the naked eye but walk around barefoot and you can feel all the dirt and grime under your feet. Same goes with the countertops. Run your hand across the surface and you'll feel the dirt. The bed is pretty uncomfortable and sinks in the middle.
I wont say we'd never stay here again but it wont be our...
