Comically Abysmal Its one thing when an establishment's curator and your tastes do not align. However with this many taps I would have expected more variety of good cider. The bartender knew so little about cider it was terrifying. Descriptions of cider were "applely", "mellow apple taste", "applely apple". Of the flight we tried most of the cider's were underwhelming. They lacked a sparkle, and were more earthy than I like, or had very strong aftertastes. I have never been to a cider house that serves you cider from a blown tap because it generally leads to the serving having a lot of sediment, but apparently that's company policy to serve every last drop no matter how bad it is.
One couple came in and she asked about hot apple cider (not super common but very good and can be found at at several of the other local cider places). The bartender had the brains to suggest they try Starbucks but did not suggest any of the other local cidery locations, assumedly because she either didn't know or didn't want to advertise for a competitor. Next best was inaccurately claiming to have the most cider taps in Washington. (Shilling has 30ish taps). She lacked knowledge about the product, and I would assume was fed lies so as to make the Levenworth Cider House sound better. She had nothing positive to say about any of the other local cider companies. As soon as we ordered, we were of no interest to her and she went back to flirting with her boyfriend(?). So costumer service was lack luster, and she had to continually be called back when anyone had any questions.
Lets talk about price now. A flight started at $15 and went up, ours was about $19. That felt steep, but yikes the tasters were 2 oz pours. Enough for a couple to each get a taste, but not enough to thoroughly evaluate if you were going to enjoy because you could get about...
Ā Ā Ā Read more@YourCiderHouse is a fun place with a ton of ciders, some great beers, and tasting flights too. They offer some brewery type foods that include a couple of brats, pulled pork sandwiches, some flat breads, a giant pretzel and truffle fries and a kids menu. Upstairs where most of the seating is located, they have some games such as big Jenga, cornhole, large connect four, etc. One thing my mother-in-law thought it was great is that they also have an elevator, because she had a hard time with stairs. This is also very helpful to families with little kids and strollers. I ordered the Hop-infused cider and it was very tasty. It had a classic dry apple fresh taste with the aroma and taste of citrus hops (7.4% ABV, n/a IBU). My husband had the High Camp Winter IPA which was very smooth and tasty, a perfect choice for someone who wants a refreshing and mild IPA (7.3% ABV, 84 IBU). We also had the house brat, a very nice brat topped with a cider-infused cheese sauce and topped with chunks of beef brisket. My mother-in-law had the pulled pork sandwich with the house coleslaw. It was delicious too. The customer service was amazing, they were very knowledgeable and accommodating. The setup of this locale is such that the order counter is close to the entrance. There you place your food order (as well as ask to taste any of the beers or ciders), pay, and take your drinks. Once the food is ready, they send you a text message and you pick up your food at the kitchen pick up window, located at the rear of the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLove this place!! My family and I were on vacation and I have celiacs disease. I am highly sensitive to cross contamination so it makes it difficult to find places to eat. I had absolutely no issues here at all. Right from the get go I brought up to the woman taking my order that I have celiac and she mentioned that she has it too. I automatically felt safe hearing that because she told me the process they do for celiac food and that sheās never gotten sick eating here. I did not get a chance to get her name, but she was phenomenal. Her service and knowledge helped soothe the hangriness I was having because she helped aid in my decision on what to pick. I got the gluten free pepperoni and cheese pizza and the crust is cauliflower. The pizza tasted so delicious and it was not just because I was starving. The crust had a nice crunch to it, but was still soft, the cheese was nice and cheesy, and the pepperoni was good too. Overall, I absolutely loved this place(the atmosphere, people and food) and the next time I visit Leavenworth I will definitely definitely definitely be coming back because I know I can eat here safely without getting sick. Thank you so much for everything!!! Iām very thankful I used the Find Me GF app to find this place and that the reviews...
